I don't know if this has been mentioned before, but I just found these. SFN Plugin lets you navigate to anywhere on SFN with a right-click in Firefox.

And the Sirius plugin is a player for Firefox.

Nice finds for us Linux users.

I have problems typing text in the reply box or yahoo email while using firefox and have never been able to figure it out. Instead of going left to right, it shifts randomly and goes right to left mid-word or mid-sentence.

I love the browser otherwise...but its a PITA when trying to type in comment boxes. Anyone else have that problem?

I've been using it for about a year and the only problem I have is that after a couple days of being left open, it starts to hog the ram and slow my computer down.

Thanks Horndog!!

Those links just confirm that Firefox is the best thing to happen to the internet since porn.. :boobies: :bannana2: :girls: :2thumbs: :claphand: :dancin:

Hey jmp try re-installing it. It's kind-of a pain in the ass but it might be worth it. Sounds like the problems your having are a pain in the ass anyway so you wont loose anything but time.. Just make sure you keep track of your add-ons so you can put them back. Back-up the favorites too.

//Firefox rules

Can I re-install over the current installation, or should I remove first? I was thinking about reformatting the drive and starting fresh with the OS anyway, so I may just do that. It is a real pain in the ass right now...but my IE doesnt load pics on SFN and myspace hangs up all the time. With firefox, everything loads instantly. IE is a piece of junk.

re: reinstalling, I think you're okay if you just install over it. It's just a couple tiny little files that go in the Firefox plug-ins folder, so it doesn't really do anything to Windows, just Firefox.

I was always an Opera guy myself, but Firefox is the one that has all the cool plugins for it. From what I understand, Netscape supports Firefox add-ins, so you could try that if you don't like FF. Opera's SUPPOSED to support Firefox plugins, but that's kinda hit or miss. Some work, some don't.

I normally use the Yahoo Widget Sirius player, but I'm on a linux system now. Not an option. But the Firefox player works great.

If you just downloaded it then you only think you like it now. It seems like every day that I use it, I find something else that makes it better. Dig around the Mozilla website for add-ons and extensions and you'll be amazed what you find. I love the flashblock and adblock extensions personally although the 2 posted in this thread are moving to the top of the list FAST.. IE tab is a pretty handy 1 too.

This is a separate player, but my favorite to date.

I've been using FireFox for at least 1.5 years. I absolutely love it. All of the add ons make internet browsing a joy. Form ad blockers to script blockers and everything else you can imagine, FireFox is the most secure browser out there. IE7's tabs were also straight from FF, if that gives you any idea which is the more innovative technology. The daily "Security Updates" and "Hotfixes" that are avoided are also a nice touch.
