Hey guys... I just wanted to take a minute to thank Bubba and the boys for everything they've done for me this year. Not only have they helped me stay sane by providing such a great distraction from real life bullshit every single day, but they're responsible for getting my dog, Dakota, back after he and my truck were stolen while on vacation this past summer. For those who don't know, once Bubba heard that my truck was stolen while Dakota was inside, they did everything they could to help me out. They not only pledged an additional $2000 ontop of my reward (while the great fans here also generously offered a $1500 addition), but the fact that they dedicated so much of their next program to the situation is what really got him back. The way my radio was set up in my truck when it was stolen was pretty complicated. Basically the thieves would have had no way to change the channel, which was locked into 101... so whomever took it would have been hearing Bubba the entire time. It was only a matter of hours after Bubba went off the air that the truck was found abandoned in the middle of nowhere north carolina... and Dakota was sitting peacefully next to the truck just waiting for somebody to show up. That's basically it in a nutshell. I don't think that it was any coincidence that the truck was found right after Bubba's show that night. Somebody basically heard through my radio that they jacked the wrong truck, and bailed as fast as they could given the big FTE witch hunt that Bubba enacted. Luckily, by the way everything worked out, I didn't need to call on Bubba of the great SFNers here to make good on their reward pledges.
Dakota is the best friend I have and he goes absolutely everywhere I go. Today he turns 11 years old and the fact that he's still alive, and still with me after that episode makes me so damned thankful that I have a good pal like Bubba that made such a huge impact in my life. I couldn't imagine what it would have been like to have his birthday and xmas pass by without knowing where he was, alive or dead... I'd be pretty fucked up right now about it. BUT... that's not the case, and thanks to Bubba and the guys... I've got my best friend back. Thanks so much to Bubba, Brent, Manson, Spice, Donna, Amanda, Heather, and Big Dick... all of whom had a hand in helping me out.
... sorry for the long post guys.... but I'm celebrating today. Taking Dakota out of town to do my xmas shopping all day long, and he's gonna get his birthday shopping spree at Petsmart while I'm stocking up on his christmas stuff too. Today is a good day for me... and I owe alot of that to Bubba. If anybody else wants to share anything that they want to thank Bubba for, please feel free to speak out. NT glad that everything worked out and you have dakota back..
I owe bubba and the boys a huge thank you also.. I wish I had an amazing story like that to share but my thank you is simply just for doing what they do each day... it's crazy how I feel so close to them just from listening everyday. They are real guys, and it's cool to have a connection just from listening..

| 1st of all Roger I love the fact that you feed your dog a raw diet and take care of your dog so well. I wish people understood how horrible regular pet food is for their animals and that its in fact taking years off their lives and causing them pain and trips to the vet they NEVER should have. Anyway thats a whole other story. For Bubba I would like to say that im sorry that Sirius are idiots and dont recognize talent. In the grand scheme of things this made me realize that they dont even give a fuck about Howards talent either. They just know he has an audience that followed him but im not sure they understand why. Listening to Howards history this week also made me realize what you guys mean by him PHONING IT IN. Todays Howard is definatly on cruise and its laughable if anyone says different. The fact is Howard dont need to work it anymore and he probably deserves to be on cruise anyway. Its clear he broke the mold after hearing his special. Anyway im off track some here but my point is Bubba is putting 110% effort in and hes not getting the love from the decision makers. I guess I all I can do is say thank you Bubba for entertaining me in a way ive never been entertained before and I hope you can last at Sirius but understand if you go. I agree buddy...I wish that the boys were appreciated more. They inspire a devotion that I haven't seen since, well, Howard Stern back in the day. I still love Howard's show (ARTIE!!!), but Bubba has replaced him, for me, as can't miss radio.
Roger, I was sweatin' for you when all of that went down & as a fellow animal lover, I'm really glad that everything ended up for the good buddy. Big ups to Dakota, fellow marks, and most of all Bubba, Brent, Manson, Spice, Nedley & all of your loved ones...especially Heather & Amanda...(OH GAWWD) who were very nice to meet in person in Las Vegas. You Guys ARE the BEST!!!

I wanna say Thank you to the BRN, and Merry Christmas. It has been a complete joy to listen to everything that the BRN has done in 2007. To see Bubba and the crew resnew for 2008 was grreat. I personally enjoy listening to the radio every day for this. Between Howard and Bubba it makes for great radio. i dont know how I could ever go back to regular radio, except for listening to Bubba on regular radio. I am hoping to actually meet the BRN crew in 2008 if a Bubbapalooza comes near Cincinnati. I would love to meet the crew that makes me laugh day in and day out.. Merry Christmas to all the mizzarks and draksiders. Begin new to these boards, I might not have everything lined up yet. but this is a great place to chop talk with people who love the show just as much as I do. Thanks to all, and have a great rest of 2007 and lets Make History in 2008 and get Bubba and the BRN an AMAZING DEAL for them to sign onto to keep them around after 2008.

But knowing that come 3:00, you can listen to the continuing drama of Bubba & Co. and get your mind off your own shit for at least a few hours is a great feeling. |

| I just personally want to thank the crew for having taken the time one day early in the year to express their condolences for my family and me when it was found that my wife's stepfather had committed suicide. Those heartfelt words, despite whatever shit I might say about particular individuals or segments of the show, will stick with me for a very long time, and I am eternally grateful that a bunch of guys in Tampa took a moment to care about some unknown fan/board mark like myself. So to each and every one of them, I once again shall simply say, "thank you". |

Hey Roger!
As I'd told you before, hearing Dakota's story on the show is what really got me coming to this board.....so I could follow and keep up on it. Couldn't be happier with the outcome! Most of us already knew the show staff were good people, but that gesture should have erased any doubt from anyones minds.
Give the big guy a scratch on the head for me.....glad he is home safe.
PS, we still need to come up with a Pittsburgh party plan for the show! |

Personally, I'd like to thank the guys for taking a shitty ass deal for a fraction of what they are worth in order to keep us national marks tuned in. I would have been happy to do whatever I needed to do to keep in touch with the show, but am glad they made the sacrifice of a nearly impossible schedule to stay with us on Sirius. I look forward to many years to come.

Exactly. Many people have talked a lot of shit about how Bubba wants to leave terrestrial and this deal means he has one foot out the door. I think the fact that he turned down all that money he would've gotten to be exclusive to terrestrial shows that's not the case. The guy is willing to work twice as hard so we can keep listening. |

... and Leellen, you're correct. Heather and I split up a few weeks ago. It was a pretty messy deal at the time and I was pretty fucking bitter then... but I'm past that now. I've moved on with my life as she has. Regardless of what went down, I appreciate how much she helped me through that rough time... we're being civil now... no need to draw out that drama anymore.
Now... back to thanking Bubba and the crew :dance: |
