How many times has Troy Aikman said "this game is meaningless for the Cowboys." Yeah, Troy, right.

The Cowboys are playing their arch-rival and have a chance to knock them out of the playoffs.....but the game is meaningless. The Cowboys haven't played well for the last three weeks....but the game is meaningless. Wonder if Troy would say it was meaningless if the Cowturds were winning???

Troy.....as a Redskins fan I say this with love: GO FUCK YOURSELF!!!!!

HAIL TO THE REDSKINS!!!

Never knew you were a Skins fans....Who else do you root for?
timdawg6
Are you fucking RETARTED? It is meaningless. If they win great if they lose what HAPPENS? Nothing, therefore it has no meaning.

I'm thinking he means that they have a first round bye and home field advantage throughout the playoffs. Yes, the Cowboys look like total shit tonight and the last few games......you're right about that. But they have won 13 games this year, so suck it.

So let me get this right. As a Cowboys fan you're okay with the Cowboys getting smoked by the Redskins? Does it mean nothing to you?

I'll put it this way. As a Redskins fan, I never want to lose to Dallas and every game means something. I guarantee you it means something to the Dallas players and coaches.

Doesn't change the fact we're making the Cowboys look like shit tonight. Hope to see you guys in Dallas in a few weeks....... :)

It means nothing to me. I bet against them today becaue I knew they dont give a shit. See the STEELERS the got the shit kicked out of them by the Ravens

I'm being totally honest here. I grew up hating the Redskins during all of the "Cowboys and Indians" games, but in the last 5 years I have come to respect the Redskins organization compared to the lowlife Eagles GANG. I have more rivalry hatred now for the Eagles than any other team.
timdawg6
Me too, but this game means shit. THE Seahawks lost to the Falcons.

You guys are a good team especially at home, it would have been a tough game.

Now have fun playing on th e road
timdawg6
I hate the EAGLES THE MOST. Then the Deadskins, Giants and Cardinals

Redskins/Dallas is the best rivalry in sports. The Cowboys season speaks for itself. They've clearly been the best team in the NFC this year. Again, hopefully we'll see you guys down the road in the playoffs.
sorabji_66
Sorry, but I didn't make any bets today.

My dime on the Skins would have meant the Cowboys win convincingly today.

well I won't even say the SOX/YANKEES because that's just too easy, I would have to say OHIO STATE/MICHIGAN. And in the distant past LAKERS/CETICS, Bird and Magic brought the NBA back from the dead.

All mentioned are great rivalries in their respective sports/leauges. No telling what the GP thinks is the best. As far as the NFL goes, Cowboys and Indians is one of the best.

agreed, but you said in all of sports. If you go outside of team sports, I'd say ALI/Frazier.

I didn't say that. mbrin61 did. I was merely curious about what rivalries you liked.

You know me brin and I am a Giants fan through and through and from what I've seen over the past month Washington is THE best team in the NFC right now. I don't give a fuck what their record says and what the Dallas homers say. Washington thoroughly outplayed them in the last meeting and if not for a rookie mistake by the QB on the final drive the Redskins win that game and we all saw what they did tonight. Yes, there was no TO but I wonder how effective he'll be once he returns. The Skins pass rush is formidable and Collins is on fire right now. Moss has been hot as has been Portis. If I were Dallas I'd be real worried about the matchup in 2 weeks. Personally, I am pulling for them once my Giants go down.

The Cowboys already had the #1 seed all wrapped up, dipshit. It WAS a MEANINGLESS game FOR US. The Vikes were gonna lose anyway so the Skins LOSING would still get the Skins in the Playoffs. Now stop crying cos Aikman shit on your Skins on the way to 3 Super Bowl victories in 4 years while the Skins haven't had a SNIFF of a Super Bowl appearance since BEFORE that time. :hw:

Hey Johnni,

My wife is a huge Giants Fan. Makes for interesting Sundays when the Giants/Redskins play. Personally, I think the Giants are gonna beat Tampa Bay. Eli had his best game as a pro against the PATS and the Giants played inspired football. I wouldn't count them out.

That's Heathcliff, named for a character in my favorite book, Wuthering Heights
johnni44
Yea, but I don't see the Giants going beyond that game. They could beat the Packers but the injuries are coming at a bad time for us. As for your boys, I'd be real encouraged. When they beat the G-men I figured the Giants just played poorly.....the more I see them the more I am convinced they are peaking at the right time. This Collins - Moss combination has been as good as Brady - Moss in terms of timing and rhythm.

That is funny about you and your wife. Me and my g/f have a similar thing, she is from the Philly area and has adopted the Pats since she's been up here so last night was funny (when I was winning anyhow).

 Just beat Minn at Minn and Giants in New York. Should have beat GB in GB and Dallas in Dallas. Redskins are going to the Super Bowl.
timdawg6
Redskins are a good team, I dont see them winning three games on the Road
johnni44
yea, that is the trouble as the wildcard team of course.
sorabji_66
A wildcard can do it if there is reason to believe they are a superior team at the end of the season, like the 2005 Steelers with Ben back at the helm and healthy. His absence let to a few losses during the regular season.

Or a year where nobody looked that great and any team could have won it, like the 1980 Raiders.

Other than that, you are kinda up the creek.

I like the way you think, but winning three on the road is real tough. We'll see...... :)
