The Jets appear to have been up to it again according to Profootballtalk.com
JETS TAMPERED WITH RYAN?
The item from InsideBayArea.com to which the "Kiffin and Son" item links indicates that Raiders defensive coordinator Rob Ryan was informed prior to the team's regular-season finale that he won't be retained -- and that he "had already secured his next place of employment."
If that's accurate, it would mean that the Jets talked with Ryan about employment while Ryan was still the property of the Raiders.
And that would be tampering.
(Hey, I thought only the Patriots violated the rules.)
Regardless, it appears that Jets defensive coordinator Bob Sutton is out, and that Ryan will be reunited with head coach Eric Mangini. Ryan was the linebackers coach in New England while Mangini worked there as defensive backs coach.
This is not the first time they have been accused of wrongdoing. Remember the tampering accusation over Deion Branch? Remember THEIR cameras a few weeks ago? Mangini is a joke and a scumbag. |

The reality is that it really isn't a big deal. The Raiders were going to get rid of him anyway and I'm sure a lot of this stuff happens all the time.
I just get a kick out of it. Mangini is clearly regarded as a douche and this shows more of the same. He is such a hypocrite. |

The Jets were found INNOCENT of tampering w/ Branch, they got the Pats approval and did nothing wrong filming from the EZ(they filmed the game not opposing coaches signals) and now this is just speculation. Let's ee some evidence come out and see the jets get punished before you whiners star w/ your nonsese. your teamis freakin undefeated and you STILL are worried about the jets for some reason. Obsession is the perfect word, even while the Sox won the WS and the Pats are on their way to another SB the Sox/Pats fans are consumed w/ everything Yankees and Jets. When the Yanks were winning 4 WS in 5 years I never for a second worried about the Sox except for that brief 5 game humiliation in the '99 ALCS. When the Jets eventually are SB contenders I will not worry about the Pats at all I wil ejoy the ride to a Championship but for the pats/Sox fans it's all about New York. |

We may never win one but I'm sure we'll be contenders again like we have been multiple times over the last decade. Who would have thought NE would turn into a dynasty? or that the red Sox would win a World Series? hopefully it happens sometime before I die. |

Multiple times over the last decade? I remember one year, when Parcells was there and you lost in Denver. Even that year, the Jets overachieved greatly mainly because of Parcells.
Beside that you might have won a playoff game(barely) but nobody thought the Jets were going to the SB or even winning it.

In '02 we were tied 10-10 late in 3rd qtr at Oak in the div rd and many people picked us to win the AFC that year, in '04 we were one of 2 msised kicks away from the AFC Title Game. We have been SB contenders multiple times in th last decade unlike the dolphins who haven't been legit contendres since 1994- heck the dolphins haven't even been legit playoff contenders since 2002 :lol: |

Many "experts" picked the Jets o win the AFC in 2002, they were tied late 3rd qtr at Oak 10-10. oak went to the SB, it's not a stretch to think we could have gone if we beat Oak. In '04 our missed 2 makebale kicks, he only need to make 1 and we are in the AFC Championship. You don't understand or know football, they were legit SB contenders in those years.
What does the end of the 2005 season have to do w/ 2002 and 2004? and herm was not fired, he orchestarted his departure. he was NEVER fired. FOR ONCE can yo actually get the facts right before you post insanse arguments?
