SKIPPED ANOTHER CHANCE AT A BIG EVENT
- 01-09-08 was such a big deal that Artie overslept and Howard got a cake. Way to start off the new year. It looks like they aren't doing anything special for the 2 year anniversary or Howard's birthday. What should they have done to celebrate?
- Were the birthday shows fun? Are fans disappointed that they don't do them anymore?
- Howard tells us that Sirius is all about him doing Letterman to promote Sirius. (he's on tonight) Why wouldn't they set something up for this? Is Sirius missing out on a marketing opportunity?

RAPID FIRE: WHO'S THE BETTER TELEPHONE TOUGH GUY? HPE, ETM, EEO, Alice, etc

3 MORE YEARS!!
Since this is the "2 years at Sirius" show, we should touch on some state of the union type topics:
- What are your feeling on the second year vs the first? Are things getting better or going downhill? What were you expecting that fell short? What has blown you away?
- After two years, have the channels developed as you expected?
- What direction would you like to see the show go in its 3rd year?
- Still no remotes in 2007. No vegas trip, no roast from a comedy club, nothing. The closest we had since the move to Sirius was the film festival and that was April 2006. Should the show hit the road in 08? Will they & what will it take to make it happen?
- The Spinoff shows are really starting to develop. Out of all the new Howard 101 shows in 07, which ones are keepers?

- The Friday AM timeslot still up in the air. What the hell are they going to do?
- We lost Howard, then the Friday Show, & now Bubba. Are fans frustrated?

Give the homos Sal & Richard their own morning show.

MISERABLE MEN
Move Miserable Men to Friday mornings & extend the show to 4 hrs so they can have guests. Bob said it would effect his standup schedule & he writes for Kidd Kris so is busy in the morning but if the money was right he'd do it.

EXTENDED MASTER TAPE
History of Howard Stern-ify matertape theater. Meaning, extend the master tape show with new content like interviews / statements from the stern show staff & other people involved with that days show.

MASTER TAPE WRAPUP SHOW
Play Mastertape as they do now and then finish off the block with a live wraup show.

SPECIAL SHOW REPLAYS
Take all the 7pm & midnight special show from the week (joke hunt, riley, sfrt, etc) and play them all back to back Friday morning

RILEY IN THE MORNING
move rile to the AM and let him go wild. Riley said he'd be able to fill that hole no problem and would do it under his current contract for 4x what he gets now. Come contract time, he'd want to renegotiate. Some people feel that Riley is best late night when you can listen all fucked up.

THE OLD FRIDAY SHOW
Bring back the old Friday show with the old cast. Gary has said on the wrapup show that he'd never go back to doing Fridays but who knows. He may have changed his mind. Even if they don't get him, I'm pretty sure Jon, Sal & Richard all work Fridays anyway. They could pick up where they left off.

THE FRIDAY FAN SHOW
move the super fan roundtable to Friday mornings and make it a week in review show. Play best of the week clips and wrap the SFRT discussions around those. Then bring back some of the best aspects of the old Friday show like Ralph's Fred segment and Sal & Richards rejected bits.

Several people have suggested moving Greg Fitzimmons to Friday mornings. The guys is definetely talk show material but he does his current show from the west coast. I don't think he'd be able to do a Friday AM show without moving east. may not be an option but what do I know. Someone should call into his show and hit him up.

GETTING ON THE SHOW: Each week I start a roundtable brainstorming thread where the fans help build our topics and a listening thread where people discuss the show while it's happening. if you'd like to do the show, get in there and participate. once you've been around for awhile ask to be on the show and pick a date. there's a schedule posted in every brainstorming thread.

GUESTS OF THE SHOW: The show airs from the Sirius studios in NYC Times Square. It's on the 36th floor of the McGraw Hill building on the corner of 49th & 6th in studio 21. Guests should be there at 6PM so we can do mic checks. The show goes live at 7PM. You can not bring any friends. our studio is very small and there's really no place for them. I'll need your full name in advance and you need to bring your ID for security. If I don't put you on the list and you don't have your ID, you will not be able to get in.

This is an office and you are expected to be on your best behavior. It's not some free for all party. You shouldn't do anything that you would do when stopping by the bank. You cannot bring alcohol, take off your clothes, make noise, or bother people. I know you are a Stern fan but we're not out at the bar. You need to be cool. Don't stop them and ask for an autograph or photo. Everytime one of you misbehaves, I get a new rule to follow.

You CAN NOT walk around Sirius. You will be escorted from the upstairs lobby to the studio and back out. Do not take it upon yourself to just walk around & check things out. Nobody is allowed to stop by other shows. DO NOT stop by Ferrall's studio under any circumstances even if you think it's OK. I've been told by management that it's not. If you'd like to be a guest on Ferrall, they need to put you on their guest list.

You may take photos in the studio but please do not take pictures in the halls or lobby.

DO NOT sign the wall.

All plugs must be approved in advance. If you are going to be on the show and you have something to plug, you need to let me know the day before. ANYONE WHO PLUGS A WEBSITE OR BUSINESS WITHOUT PERMISSION WILL NOT BE INVITED BACK.

Howard needs to stop side-stepping these events. He should be going to Will's wedding. I can see maybe not going to Rachel Hein's party but weddings should not be avoided by Howard .

Draw the line at weddings . There is always going to be birthdays and such so if he draws the line at weddings, he's almost done with his commitments. Everyone is married except Richard, Benji, Will and Jason.

Well I would like to see the Friday show come back or at least a some sort of week in review thing, i'd especially like it if they did a preview of who is coming in next week. If not I wouldn't mind if they gave Mojo Nixon the slot for his Lying cocksuckers show.

As far as the anniversary, I was pretty disappointed too, I flew up there for the last KROQ show rally and I would have tried to come up for an anniversary rally or event if they did one.

Only because I love The Show so much. Shit, I think we all do since we spend so much time on a Howard Stern fan board.

2 major things have been completely blown off by Howard.

1- 2nd year anniversary/ Howard's Bday show. They could have had a spectacular event at low cost, done something at an outside venue and given away tickets, musical guests, actors, etc... They've hit some major marks with sub numbers, and it's sad that they seem like they simply don't give a shit.

2- The friday slot is wide open and there's barely been an on air discussion. Howard seems like he just doesn't give a shit. Most of the material comes from Sal and Richard, or the tension between Artie and (fill in the blank). Robin is completely useless, and does nothing except her fake laugh the whole show, and Howard seems to just bitch about everything or say how scared he is by everything. Meanwhile, friday we'll get another 3 hour MTT after commercials are spliced in, to be repeated 36 times that day between the 2 channels.

Finally, the ripping on Bubba for working the testicle radio shift. Theyt should be ashamed to even mention him, let alone make fun of him. Isn't it sad that the second most listened to show on all of Sirius doesn't get paid enough so that the host has to work a second job??

It really makes me sad for Bubba. I'm embarrassed at how cheap some people are, and how little loyalty they have to their people.

Maybe I'm out of line, but if I were Howard, I would do the right thing and throw Bubba a million a year out of my own pocket to keep him exclusively.
Over 3 years, that's $3 Million, a paltry sum compared to $80 million in stock options, etc...

I see no reason the Superfan Roundtable couldn't go on Fridays. Can people show up for taping during the day, or is it a "real job" kind of thing? I would totally understand that.

But I love your show, it's just on at night and I don't think you are getting to everyone who wants to hear it. Namely me!

What's the reason not to go back to TFS if there's no MTT? If there is a reason they don't want to bring back TFS, how 'bout using the whole day Friday for all of the special show replays so people who may not make the effort to catch SFRT, Intern Show, Joke Hunt, (etc.) at their regular times could get them all back-to-back until some better use of Fridays comes up?

Many of us prefer the show without as many guests and bits anyway, because the best part of the show has always been the first hour or two of staff conversations and arguments.

Ongoing Friday Show Fan Contest:
If KOAB and Double A got the chance to do a show based on being persistent callers, how 'bout considering content-based proposals or tapes submitted by fans for their own show ideas one or two Fridays a month? Best few ideas/tapes every month get one-hour show pilots on a Friday. Someone may come up with one worth keeping and the train wrecks in-between could be even better.

Best of Stern Fridays with a live host and news? I'm sure some people wouldn't mind coming in on Friday, plus anyone from the show could call in.

A lot of people would be more than willing to take Bubba's slot. They could go through any of the Free FM replacements that didn't last. Dick and Skibba were on in San Diego, and they had Wendy the Retard on a lot, plus they've always said good things about Howard and might be a good fit.

The birthdays were fun shows and now they have the room to have a small audience on. I think they need to get out to Vegas. I don't see why they can't do a show out of LA when they have a west coast studio available to them with people they normally don't see. That would also mean Ralph would be stopping in, but they could fuck with Leno and Ellen esp. in the midst of the strike.

I think the honeymoon period is over, and Howard isn't promoting Sirius the way he should be. I know they're twisting his arm into going on Letterman, but if/when the merger happens, he needs to be right on the front lines promoting.

I think they should discuss who in Congress is for or against the merger.

I also think they need to try to get some of the presidential candidates on, or do a roundtable on the issues without making it boring. Hillary on the show would be a major score without a doubt, but it would work in her favor because it would be the last show people would expect her to go on.

And discussion of Act 2 of the Howard Stern Years.

Those posters of the Stern years looked cool, they should've been sending those out to subscribers and send 10 signed ones randomly.

Normally, it wouldn't be a big deal, but isn't it kinda shitty that Bubba has to put on that fake Top 40 voice to begin with? Because he has to work a SECOND JOB??

they might have been ball busting a little but howard must have said a dozen times yesterday how bad he feels for bubba and how hard it would be to do the 2 sifts. how it sucks and he wishes sirius could have kept him exclusive. it seems like you are being over sensitive nitpicking about the bad and completely missing the good. Bubba & Brent don't blame howard. i don't see why you would. bubba would be the first one to tell you who to be mad at.

The film festival? Over a year ago.
Debut show from a night club? January 9, 2006 - two years ago.
Last trip to Vegas? Terrestrial radio.

Is it the cost factor? Is it a security thing? Is it an aging thing?

Why doesn't the show GO anywhere anymore?

Since this is the "2 years at Sirius" show, we should touch on some state of the union type topics:
- What are your feeling on the second year vs the first? Are things getting better or going downhill? What were you expecting that fell short? What has blown you away?
I think the roasts have been a huge hit that have provided for many, soundbits and memories of the second year. I think the second year has been better, the channels developed more in the second year along with the addition of other programming like riley, and Stuttering John and Miserable Men and other shows. I think where the channels fell short in the second year is Sirius not being able to keep Bubba strictly on Satellite. They could have done so much more with him to give additional programming to supplement 101, where now he is doing the “other” show in the mornings and Sirius has lost the opportunity to put additional programming on a regular basis on 101. granted the crew might do extra shows like Brent and the Conspiracy show they did last year, but it will be few and far between. I think the History and supplemental programming on both channels has been a huge standout in 2007. The shows themselves are great but the supplemtal programming to keep talking about the shows and allowing the fans to sound-off allows for what I view as a “complete” Howard experience.
- After two years, have the channels developed as you expected?
I would expect the channels to be a little more developed. I was hoping to see more Bubba programming on 101. I know he has been a huge hit. I was also hoping for More Bubba replays than just the 1am replay on 101. I like the transitional programming of Miserable Men and riley and such. Mabye a little more of a solidification of exactly who is going to be a regular on 101 and who isn’t. also as everyone has been talking about.. Friday has been a huge issue to be discussed.
- What direction would you like to see the show go in its 3rd year?
I personally wanna see a rotation between Master Tape Theatre and The Friday Show. I like the older shows as I have only been listening for about 10 years, but I wanna hear Gary and Sal and all their take on the older bits and such, also taking calls on Friday as well to speak to the fans. I liked hearing the stories that they brought to the table.

- Bubba is already talking about quitting Sirius. not sure what more to say about this
I bought Sirius for Howard back in 2005, but over the past 2 years Bubba and his show has become just as much a part of my daily routine as Howard is. To see him leave you be frankly a crying shame. Bubba and his show is just as much fun to listen to and participate in as Howard’s. I really hope Sirius comes to their senses after the merger goes through (hopefully) and the get Bubba on a long term deal. He is the backbone of 101 and a vital part of the Howard Channels.

SKIPPED ANOTHER CHANCE AT A BIG EVENT
- It looks like they aren't doing anything special for the 2 year anniversary or Howard's birthday. What should they have done to celebrate?
We all know Howard doesn’t like to have anything special for his birthday, I personally would like to have seen maybe a cake or something small on the air. I know there wouldn’t have been a big bash or anything this year. They are saving the bash for The wedding.
- Were the birthday shows fun? Are fans disappointed that they don't do them anymore?
I am disappointed to an extent that they aren’t any birthday shows, but I see better parties coming.. the roasts will be a good filler, as well as the wedding of Howard/Beth. We can pretty much bank on the fact that Howard 100 News will be covering it very closely.
- Howard tells us that Sirius is all about him doing Letterman to promote Sirius. Why wouldn't they set something up for this? Is Sirius missing out on a marketing opportunity?
I think it is a HUGE opportunity that Sirius is missing out on. Sirius needs to get their name out in every conceivable market. Not just pandering to the Stern fans, but the music fans, sports fans, anything that Sirius offers. Sirius is exactly what they claim to be “The best radio on radio”. They need to take advantage of Howard going on Letterman, and since he is open to it, take him into other venues or promotional appearances if he is willing to do so.

- The Friday AM timeslot still up in the air. What the hell are they going to do?
I would personally like to see a Master Tape Theatre of sorts for Bubba, lets go back and revisit some of the older shows from when he first began a couple years ago. I know listening to just some of the 2007 shows while they were on break wasn’t enough. I wanna go back to the launch of Bubba on Sirius.

- We lost Howard, then the Friday Show, & now Bubba. Are fans frustrated?
Im frustrated because sometimes the replays are not enough. The crews are entitiled to their time off and I am not disputing that, but bringing back in moderation The Friday show or replays of Bubba would be a better alternative in my opinion that just having Master Tape Theatre all the time. Variety is the spice of life and I think that is what a lot of us are looking for in this case.

I am booking plane and such now and was hoping to see if I could appear on the show. Can this be done? I have been listening to the show for almost 10 years and am not in NYC often. - Ronnie and Bonnie are no more; Ronnie brought a 24 year old girl to Jon Hein's daughter's Bat Mitzvah
- Howard lied / didn't know how much he gave as a gift to Jon
- Bubba started his morning show on regular radio and then comes in to his normal slot on Sirius in the afternoon
- Artie's beach house almost ready; How often will he go there and will Robin actually drive up on her boat to visit him?
- Steve Grillo has a radio show...........The New York Knicks also have a basketball team
- KC Armstrong arrested and has to spend the night in jail; What happened to him?? :noshake:
- Howard is so big that he has the ability to switch nights on David Letterman's show; He will now do it on Thursday instead of next Monday
- Playboy Evaluations; Some people feel this bit is slightly dated, others just enjoy it for HowardTV
- High Pitch Eric goes off on some girl with a few voicemails
- Robin willing to do Playboy for $1 Million
- Artie oversleeps; Claims its due to his book where he was up until 1am the previous night

Like I've said before I'm afraid Sirius is going under and Howard's busy spending his money elswhere. It's very SAD that he won't even throw a party or nothing for the fans. I think he loves the fans. But hey, he's a Jew and they're thrifty, how do you think he became rich! :D

from spending time with him I firmly believe that there's some retard going on there. he sorta sees the world like a kids does. a spoiled kid. he wants what he wants and doens't get that there are consequences. he knows it's wrong but that doens't matter becasue he wants it and that's clearly more important. many times I've had to give him a speech about it.

as for this chick, she's been laughing about these calls for months and months. she still keeps going out with him and giggles about them the same way I used to when i'd get them. this isnt' some stranger that eric just stalks. it's a chick that is always trying to get into stuff thru eric. she's posted the phone calls on youtube before. i've always been convinced that this chick knows exactly whats going and has been just using him. IMO she's the chick version of dale in sales.

I agree completley Mutt.. but a judge is NOT gonna look at it that way.. He might be able to get away with the retarded story.. but it would take a professionals word for that to even begin to sway a judge if Eric ever goes in front of one.. It will definitley take some work. I hope Eric's Pro-Bono attorney is looking down this road. If not. someone might wanna inform him..

another thought for the show on Thursday.. On the boards... the people started a fund to give money to Eric for posting on the thread by 10pm tonight..

there is also a fund going to be started for Eric for him to break his "boycott" of SFN and post in that particular thread as well.
