is why I listen to Bubba. Bubba keeps it real!! My internet feed went down and I just listened to a clip of it. Either Sirius is strong arming him or Tom Bean didnt read the contract(which I doubt happen), but it seems like Tim needs a run-down of the show before they go live(?).Hopefully Bubba is talking to Howard now like he said he was going to do...

I agree but the Ferret wasn't responsible for the negotiations with Sirius. That would have been their agent whose name I can't remember. Dammit. Someone will come up with it.

What's so bad about providing a run down of the show. Tim probably wants to make sure that Bubba is not providing the same show to terrestrial radio and sirius.

That shouldn't be it. They didn't seem to care enough to keep him exclusive. Sirius has no one to blame but themselves on that one.

does anyone have a clip of the first part of the show? I missed it.
The Butler
If there is new language in Bubba's contract, then either his agent or attormey should be fired.
BioFUSION
I listened to the one hour deal posted in another thread of FM Bubba, and really it wasn't bad, and, don't get me wrong this is not Bubbas fault, but if all I am gonna hear about for the next couple months is about how corporate is riding his ass about every little deal then there really is no point to paying 15 bucks a month. If corporate wants to be dicks I will cancel my Sirius and sign up for bubbaraw that way I get the major highlights and visuals of both FM and Sirius shows and cut out all the mealy mouth drama.

I hate to be a dick, but I figured since they renewed all the bitching and moaning about Sirius would be over. I can handle FM Bubba just fine, and most of the extreme bits are filmed for Bubbraw. So I wouldn't miss much.

Sorry about that.

Either way, this isn't going to last. I am sorry to say it, I really want it to work - I love the BRN and I am a diehard listener.

But, his first show back after 2 weeks off and his is already quitting Sirius and wants to go Cox (who 'appreciates him') exclusive - within the first 5 seconds of the show.

He will play this card every time he disagrees with Sirius and eventually they will part ways because Cox is paying him more and he still feels like he not appreciated by Sirius.

Again not hating just saying what I think is 'the writing on the wall'

The start of the show really let me down...I was ready for a happy BTLS instead of the bitching and moaning we had to endure through November and December...

I would hope Bubba can put that Corporate shit behind him and just concentrate on putting on a decent Afternoon show.

H2theDizzo

So much for a spontaneous show.

FUCK THE OVERTHINKERS.

So is that why the internet feed went down immediately when Bubbas show started and when I got to my car there was a Howard News update and 2 parody songs? Did they start and then stop right away?
smc1971
It seems that bubba is looking for an easy out, so he can go somewhere else and earn more money. That's fine, but why did he sign the contract. It's a slap in the face to Howard, the guy who gave bubba back a format. I enjoy Bubba's show, but it is the Howard Stern Network.
Tonka61
Damn, I wish I wouldn't have missed today...
Uncle Doo Doo
To be honest all you missed was Bubba being a little Bitch on air. The whole us against corporate is getting sooooooo old. I sure hope that was not the sign of whats to come.
skipdrums
It seems like Bubba is working to prove that he can do clean FM radio. If he gets himself fired from Sirius, then suddenly gets some big contract, then adios. I probably would never hear him again. All I listen to is Sirius. I hate to be cynical, but it would be just like Bubba to work both ends against each other to see who comes up with the cash first.
Learn how to work kid.
Bababaloney
Bubba runs the risk of being out of work all together.

I don't think he's going to last long on ter. radio.
Either he will push the envelope in a way that gets him fired or he will just do lame radio, get no ratings and still be fired. I mean, is he really going to play "Guitar Hero" as a bit??? Pretty fucking lame isn't it???

Then add this to his current issues at Sirius and Bubba could find himself completely out of work again.

Bubba is feeling pretty confident that he now has ter radio to fall back on so he can push the envelope with the execs at Sirius. No doubt they have dicked around with Bubba, but I still don't think he's in a position to fuck with them.

I'm disappointed in Bubba, man. He's so obviously looking for an out.

an out or a paycheck? you got to take care of your self first
willbflyn
Bubba is just feeling sorry for himself. He wants Howard money. Which he may get someday. Just not today.

Imagine how much money he would have if he would stop buying race cars, adding onto the building, building gyms.

He's spending money like he has Howard's contract
KurtEvans
Damn that Bubba! He's obviously looking for an out. I mean, it's obvious that he only signed with Cox first, and then with Sirius at the last possible minute, in order to get out of his new Sirius contract!

...wait. What?
wearly1977
Bubba wants out of Siruis. I think i will stop listening to him. I was really behind him but fuck him now.
SteelerFanWilly
Gone by Spring - again, not hating - he wants out and will find a way to do. He is a just like any other disgruntled employee, any little thing from corporate sets them off the deep end - ala yesterday. He even took a show poll to see who wants to quit as well - Manson agreed.
jds_49
I just wonder what was said to them right before the show. Had to be something to piss bubba off like that. Hopefully we will find out.
EMFBoss
wow..this thread took a 180...as long as I can stream him and his crew is taken care of...wgas who he is working for...
bolt2
It's Howards pay versus Bubba's pay, but he will never say that.

Whether he wants out or not I don't know.

But, I don't see him physically being able to do this for long...........

16hr days, 5 days a week?

Unfortunatley , I think Sirius listeners will be affected the most
Casual
Bubba was like that 350 pound tiger at the SF Zoo. The suites were fucking with him, and he jumped right over his little saftey barracade and started attacking them. But seriously, I'm glad he has some more leverage now.
shunia400
Look I like Bubba as much as the next guy , but he will never flourish on terest radio. He will also never make Stern $ with all the MMA and hillbilly stuff . Sat radio should be his focus . If howard retires and Bubba makes some changes, the greenbacks will follow . He has fooled himself into thinking he has a giant audiance , most are howard fans that listen to Bubba . These people are not following him anywhere .
