For years Bill and Hillary Clinton have chalked up any attack against them as coming from what Hillary Clinton called "the Vast Right Wing Conspiracy."
Hillary has even chided John Edwards at a debate for making criticisms against her that were "right out of the Republican playbook."

Well, the days when all the talk about Bill Clinton being a pathological liar coming from the "right wing attack machine" are over.

One of their own...the prince of the Democrat Party....went on TV on this day and basically called Bill Clinton what he is - a LIAR.

http://abcnews.go.com/Video/playerIndex?id=4164644

Remember, this isn't a Republican talking, this is one of their own stepping up to the plate and calling Clinton out for what it is.

I'd like to thank Barack Obama for providing this footage for us, so when Hillary Clinton is running her campaign during the general election and tries to fend off any accustion that she and her husband are lying sacks of shit by saying - "Oh, here comes the Republican Attack Machine again"....she'll hear, "Oh really? Is Barack Obama part of that machine?"

Sorry if this puts a damper on your evening, but your sacred cow Bill Clinton was trashed by one of his own today.

No longer will Bill or Hillary get to deflect from all criticism by referring to some phantom "conspiracy."

Time to face the music in 2008.

you're reading it wrong...Clinton is the King who wants to remain in power whereas Obama is the upstart who has the support of the actual people but is fighting hard against the machine.

Clinton is not the star...Obama is.

You have the first part right - Clinton is fighting for a 3rd term whereas Obama is fighting to move the party forward in a way Clinton failed to do in the 1990s.

However Bill Clinton is still the "star" in the party. Exit polling from New Hampshire gave Bill Clinton approval ratings in the 80s and, when asked, over 50% said they would elect Bill Clinton again.

What Obama has is the 30 and under crowd and the Clintons dominate the over 30 crowd. Problem for Obama is that his supporters are in the minority. He is drawing independents, hence his win in Iowa and strong showing in New Hampshire, but in a closed primary he will not do as well as Clinton has done with the party base.

That aside, I give Obama all the credit in the world for being in the situation to split the first 4 primaries against the Clinton Political Machine.
Also, his argument that he put forward tonight - that the Republican party is splintered and their party has an opportunity to build the type of coalition that Reagan built in the 80s (fresh off an abysmal 4 years of Jimmy Carter) and that he has proven the ability to draw independents/disenfranchised Republicans whereas Clinton is a polarizing figure who will keep the base and not much more is correct. We'll see if the party buys into his argument, but I think in the end the Clintons will win with scare tactics that Obama isn't ready for the national stage.

Seems to me the only one billowing about the Clinton's in this forum is..........YOU, Christ I'll soon vote for her just to watch idiots like you jump off bridges, and real tall buildings

I see your back to posting more partisan babble and Clinton hatred....

Either Hillary or Obama will make a far better president than the freaks running on the republican side.

McCain had a shot at the job but was character assassinated by your idol and has never recovered. He was your only hope. I suggest you start getting used to "Madame President".
ICE CUBAN
I see now what the issue really is. All these people secretly wanted to be the ones who sucked off Clinton and now it's all sour grapes.

You're half right. Obama would be better than Bush.

But Hillary is no different than Bush. If you DON'T like Bush, but support Hillary, you're either ignorant or stupid.
Kill Van Kull
So by VTV logic, if Obama said the state of Texas was insignificant, then it would disappear and cease to exist.

Yeah, makes perfect sense.

Is your position really that weak, that you have to assume that everyone here somehow supports either Clinton?

"Clinton Derangement Syndrome" anyone??

Looks to me you only have to go back to post # 7 of this very thread to demonstrate your support for Hillary

I do not understand why you criticize the people against Hillary. She is the front runner and she needs to criticized more. What has she done. She always says she helped the children. She was a lawyer and first lady in a state that ranks close to the bottom in education. She was first lady so therefore she has foreign policy expeience? Where and with whom and since when is first lady considered a lofty position. She heads up the healthcare issues in the 90's. It goes down in flames (whether you believe it should have or not) and goes into hiding and is not held accountable or questioned about her failure. She is elected to the senate for a state she has no connection to (strategically picked for her electability), has done nothing to bring money back to her state (Schumer eats her lunch). Just ask upstate NY if she kept her promises. Tells her constituents that she is not running and then turns around and runs. Never answers a question directly, sends her machine out to bash Obama and continues to triangulate her position so she can take the best political path according to her polls (drivers liscenses for illegals). Who annointed this witch the queen. She has been given a total pass. Now we can and have scrutinized the other candidates (on both sides) so redirecting this post to another candidate will not work in blunting my opinion. It is scary times indeed when we pick candidates for the most important job in the world the way we have this election cycle.

I'm trying to figure out what experience Hillary has had over the last 35 years.......and, why do so many people believe her? Her experience in government is that she slept down the hall from the man who was blown by Monica Lewinski.
Obama was dead on right. I don't know what kind of effect it will have on his campaign but it helped prove to me that I'm supporting the right candidate.

the problem is that she is touting her humanitarian work and social outreach stuff as experience, yet refuses to acknowledge in the same way Obama's time as a community organizer is "experience"

Besides...the most "inexperienced" president we've ever had was another skinny senator from Illinois

And the most "experienced" president we could have now would be Dick Cheney

Yeah, Liberals like harley-davidson don't like to admit their support of Hillary but they are Clintonites.

If you tell them that Clinton was a mediocre President at best, they flip out.

Clinton was mediocre... but when held up against the Republican presidents of the last 20 years he looks like fucking gold... he also looks way more conservative than any of them when you consider his fiscal record.

So I guess it all depends on how you gauge it...

Clinton was "gold"?? Let's take a look at his fiscal record:

Yeah, I remember how the New York Times lauded Bill Clinton when the Dow Jones was breaking records - when in reality the people in Silicone Valley deserve the credit.

And reducing the deficit is easy when you strip down the military and call it a "peace dividend" while Osama Bin Laden is busy in Afghanistan declaring war in the United States and coordinating attacks against US overseas interests.

Oh, and let's ignore the fact that the economy was going into recession when Clinton was heading out the door - that way Liberals like yourself can blame Bush.

How about all those progressive programs:

- He sold out the homosexual minority with his "don't ask, don't tell" copout

- Energy independence? Nothing.

- Going green? He refused to sign the Kyoto protocol.

- Universal Health Care? Hillarycare was a disaster.

- Looking out for the little guy? NAFTA did plenty to screw the blue collar workers. How about welfare reform? Real "progressive."

- Build a coalition as Reagan did? I think the 1994 mid-term election results speak for themselves. 40 years of Democratic rule in Congress wiped out. You can thank Bill out on the campaign trail.

I know many would like to see Bill Clinton on Mount Rushmore, but he was mediocre at best, as at least you admit.
