| My nascar wish is fair qualifying for everyone. They should put the people not in the race at the end of qualifying. It makes for better drama at the end of the session when more fans are there to see whatever support race is after qualifying. Plus, the weather conditions would be a little better at the end of the session. |

I hear the Camry's have come far this offseason. And now that Gibbs is running Toyotas they should make leaps and bounds.
Those guys (the Gibbs drivers) will break through and win one if not many races this year. This is what Toyota needed in the worst way. Michael Waltrip racing is probably shaking in their boots with Gibbs on board. Toyota is saying all the right things, but you know their R&D is going to be leaning hard on Gibbs (to the detriment of Waltrip and others) and giving them as much attention as they want and need. |

No it's not. I'm still not used to the idea of Jeff Gordon being a team mate. It still makes my stomach hurt to think about it, but I know it was the right move for Jr. He will win races with Hendrick. I doubt anyone will be giving him defective engines like that cunt Teresa did. |

Yeah, I know what you mean. I'm a Gibbs fan, and the news of the Toyota switch made me a little queasy because I'm a Chevy guy. Also, I liked JJ Yeley quite a bit, and hated Kyle Busch. So it's a transition for the Gibbs fans also this year, but I'm sure Toyota will work out just fine. It's Kyle Busch I have to get used to. :letdie: |

It's going to be a good season (especially with all of the Indy guys moving over and team/car make changes). |

yeah i'm watching the ARCA race now as a warm up.
I was gonna go but never got around to buying tickets. I went to the 500 3 years ago and had a good time but I like wathing it in HD better than being there.
The Pepsi race though I am definitly attending. Trying to actually get as many friends as I can to go. |

It was tonight. They showed it live about 2 minutes before on the Speed channel.
Michale Waltrip and Dale Jarretts three fans better watch him tonight it might be one of the only times they see them this year. Odds are with Busch giving his points away and technically out of the top 35 Jarret wont even be able to use his champoin provisionals to get in for a while.
Here's hoping Earnhart shows his real talent level tonight and wrecks an even better car than the one he shit the bed in last year. |

Yep. Hes the man alright. He won a half length restictor plate race that doesnt count by his three teamates pushing him to the front past a car with less horsepower. Even he admits he only won because the 48 pushed him. Wait until next week when it counts.
Its nice to see how unbiased Waltrip still is. :rolleyes: If he ever gets into real news he is defintley working for the right network.
You got to hand it to Tony Eury Jr in the 88 guys though. Over the last two seasons there hasnt been a better and faster pit crew. |

I hear ya, I like Jr. but hate Hendrick. I'm a Gibbs guy myself, and getting used to having that queer Kurt Busch's brother over here isn't easy.
There is only a couple things I hate in NASCAR, and that's team Hendrick, and the Busch brothers. Now, Jr drives for Hendrick, and one of the Busch brothers is on the team I support.....Go figure.:jj:

Stewart, Busch on probation
February 12, 2008
DAYTONA BEACH, FLORIDA (TICKER) -- NASCAR has decided on a punishment for Tony Stewart and Kurt Busch.
NASCAR placed Stewart and Busch on probation Tuesday for six races, beginning with Sunday's Daytona 500.
The penalties stemmed from a bumping incident during last Friday's practice session for Saturday's Budweiser Shootout at Daytona International Speedway.
After the on-track incident, the two former series champions carried their disagreement into the NASCAR officials' trailer - where Stewart reportedly punched Busch.
NASCAR, however, said the probation stems solely from the on-track portion of their incident.
When teams and crew members arrived at Daytona for Saturday morning's practice, Busch was wearing sunglasses to cover up his apparent wound.
However, at an appearance for Gillette later on Saturday, Busch's sunglasses were off - and there were no signs of a bruise from an altercation.
Neither side, nor NASCAR officials, will confirm if that actually occurred.
Jonathan Gibson, vice president of Penske Performance, Inc., issued a statement on behalf of Busch's team.
"We acknowledge NASCAR's decision with regard to the incident that occurred on the track during practice on Friday evening," the statement read. "Kurt and the No. 2 Miller Lite Dodge team are now squarely focused on the Gatorade Duels and with winning the Daytona 500."
Friday's incident on the race track developed when Busch tried to block Stewart's Toyota in practice. Stewart rammed into the back of Busch's Dodge, triggering the crash.
On the way back to the pit area, Busch began to ram his car into the side of Stewart's as both continued onto pit road.
Stewart and Busch also were also ordered to another meeting in the NASCAR hauler Saturday morning, where they were told to stay away from each other on the race track to avoid future incidents.
The same drivers were involved in a similar incident in last June's race at Dover, Delaware. After the two cars crashed, Busch rammed his car into Stewart's while it was being repaired in the pits.
Busch was parked for the remainder of that race by NASCAR officials, fined $100,000 and docked 100 points in the championship. |

Jesus, I went to 5 different sites to find out what the probation is, and here's what I end up with...
Probation has been a murky issue for NASCAR, as officials haven't necessarily punished a driver more harshly if he misbehaves while on probation. NASCAR spokesman Jim Hunter said that's going to change.
"We're starting the season by putting them on probation and we're also going to redefine what probation means,'' Hunter said. "And they clearly understand it.''
I know one thing's for sure, after getting punched in his faggot eye, that bitch Kurt Busch won't act so tough inside of his car anymore. |

I know for a fact that it is more popular than NFL, but being from the Northeast I have to drive 4 hours west to central Pennsylvania before I start seeing any Nascar fans (t-shirts, bumper stickers etc).

| So Jr wins one of the duels, and Hamlin wins the other. So far the two race events leading up to the 500 have told me this......Team Gibbs is looking great in the new Toyota rig. Everyone knows Hendrick is gonna great year in and year out, but if these events are any indicator, they've got some serious competition this year. Jr. wins last Sunday, with Stewart finishing second, and the rest of Hendrick within the top 6. Jr. wins his deal tonight, with Hamlin winning the other and Stewart finishing second again. Should be a good competitive season! |
