No wonder athletes never come on the Stern show.
Gotta love "Rock N' Roll Artie" though. :jj:

| Sounded like Howard was looking for a date with Brady or See-o |

| I thought his "Where does Bill Belichek keep the camera he uses to spy on other teams" was a much better line. :hw: |

| I never want to hear them interview a Sports player on the show again. Let Ferrall do that he knows what he is talking about. I like how Fred predicted the Giants would win, but he doesn't even know what the fuck Plaxico Burress or Amani Toomer our and besides last week Toomer was the Giants best WR in the playoffs. Robin with her little two cents how the Patriots didn't blow out many teams this year. I guess you missed the first half of the season and like Howard jumped on the Giants bandwagon last week. I hate to say it, but I respect Ralph more with his sports knowledge than anybody on that show besides Will. I can’t wait till next week when we hear how much money Artie lost betting the Giants. |

| as a sports fan, this interview made me cringe at some moments. |

Here's my post from the main forum...
That whole conversation was amazing... a bunch of people who don't even know the basics trying to dissect the teams and the game.
Robin - "The Patriots haven't been blowing teams out this year"
Oh how bout the whole first half the of the season? They only set the NFL record for TD's in a season.
Trying to figure out the #2 Giants WR... a guy who has only been there forever... Artie is seemingly quiet for once in the history of the show!
What a fucking joke. Artie is not a Giant fan... maybe he was in 1986... If you can't speak up with Amani Toomer at this point, don't embarrass yourself by calling yourself a fan. pathetic.
The conversation would have been better if Howard's score prediction was 36-4 |

I love Howard, but that interview was absolutely painful. He was clearly not prepped and obviously knows nothing about sports. Why not have Ferrall sit in for the segment to cross promote?
Asking an athlete about whether he's banging hot chicks isn't funny or likely to elicit an interesting response. For once, Howie was out of his element and it sucks. |

| I actually enjoyed it, just because this kind of interview would make 99% of athletes squirm. I agree though, it did make Artie look bad. Even the most casual Giant fan should know "Armani" Toomer. |

Here's my analogy.
Artie is a football fan as Hillary is to a woman.
They both may have been once upon a time but no longer resemble it. |

It makes me cringe anytime Artie, the so-called show sports expert, talks sports. He's so clueless. |

wouldn't work - you can tell Howard and Ferrell do not co-exist well on the air. every time Ferrell calls in to the show Howard starts getting frustrated that Ferrell doesn't let him get a word in and rushes him off of the air. i like Ferrell on his own show, but when he's on Stern he doesn't come up for air and it ends up being a one sided conversation. |

Artie is a Giants fan, like I'm a Celtics fan.
I lived in Boston during the Larry Bird era and watched every game I could. Since then I've moved away and couldn't tell you who the fuck is on the team. |

I'd prefer a chaotic argument to boredom and ignorance, with the most intelligent "Giants fan" in the room not knowing who Amani Toomer is. |

| The Jerry Rice interview was ok and maybe it was because he was on the phone why it sucked, but you could tell Howard has no clue who he was. He will know who Seau is though when he makes a couple of big plays Sunday. For his age the guy can still play. One tackle last week on 3rd and 1 at around the 6-7 yard line saved the game for Patriots. |
