Good thing I bought mine back in December... :jj:

What I SHOULD have done was cook up a good sob story and cry to the BRN so I could get a free one.

no shit huh towards the end anyone with a good shitty story was calling in for one. Remember the boys saying it would sell out in like 45 days? Maybe some more freebies in the box and it would have.
stumpy67
Well, $300 was steep to sell out that quick. I'm sure there were people on the fan sites that wanted one but just couldn't swing it. I don't think it's for lack of fans or interest. I was pretty pleased with the box set and I thought they did a good job with goodies. I got some stickers, a dog tag (because keychains were on back order), a bubba raw pass and some other stuff. In fact, Big Dick sent me a message saying when key chains came in, he'd send one. I wasn't holding my breath, but sure enough I got one. :D

I'm just glad they didn't go iPhone style and drop the price to make early buyers regret jumping on it so early.

I heard on Rock 105 that there was supposed to be some in local Florida stores. I guess that won't be happening now. Or maybe they've saved a few to be sold in those stores.

Glad I bought mine :dance:

I do hate hearing people call up and beg for one. I would never have the schneer balls to ask people to give me a hand out like that..

They should put whichever ones they have left up on the Bubba Army store. The funniest thing is that they went through and blacked out every reference to 98 Rock with a marker. That must've been a pain in the ass.

I was thinking the same thing. I made my own though. I went to the Super K5 site and copied the graphic from the page. In photoshop, I put the number of my box set in, saved as a jpg and painstakingly added album art in iTunes.

The other thing I noticed, when I imported the files from CD, some of artist names didn't matchup. Some were listed as Bubba the Love Sponge, some were BBTLS, and some were NED. Not a big deal, but if you're trying to create smart playlists by artist, then you run into problems.
juggalo300
dam didnt get one in time..... :mad:

if anyone wants to sale theirs please let me know.
jasonp666
You're right about the playlist stuff stumpy. I spent about 4 hours two finger typing to get all the track labeling right.
uv123
Glad I got one in time!

Don't forget the Bubba nightlight and lunchbox - :D :D
So Hard Done By
So...
Sales;

$300 x 3,000 = $900,000

Costs;
$2 per blank CD x 25 cds x 3000 copies = $150,000

Production costs; Oh right, they were already paid when the material was first produced for the air, or for the radio station they were trying to promote that they just blacked out with a marker = $0

Other junk thrown in the box ; $30,000 - $50,000

So a potential profit on the deal around $700,000

Oh but he gave a few away. So he probably didn't make any money on the deal. It's just like signing with Sirius, strictly charity work because he loves the fans.

Ok, let me rephrase my question. I don't think the K5 is worth $300, but want to hear it.

So does anybody have a torrent?
SteelerFanWilly
It's selling out anymore after todays crap

Does that count the 200 or so Bubba put in local Tampa record stores?

Over the vacation they played a show where a guy called in and said he was saving up to get one and Bubba told him not to waste his time because they would be all sold by the end of Oct. :jj:
