Damn!! Minotauro chokes Tim Sylvia out. Mino pulls guard, sweep Sylvia and then puts Sylvia in a gullitine. What a fight! What heart!
tedeso
what a great night tim sylvia get submitted and mir beats the wrestler my weekend is perfect
tedeso
did you see tims purple face WONDERFUL!

Both fights went exactly they way I thought they would .... both big guys got caught.

Nog will take punishment all day, and when you get too confident he will make you tap.
oneldef
Excellent fight.
Jack the Hammer
Big Nog, very unimpressive, looked horrible other then that lucky guillotine catch, Tim looked like shit as well. As far as Brock and Frank, they fight that fight 10 time, Brock win's 9 of them, total domination, just a lack of Octagon time on Brocks part, he'll be the UFC champ by the end of '08 mark my words, totally impressive on his part.

funny thing how noobs think submissions are "LUCKY"

Yah, he's a generation TUF fan. Not even weened of pro-wrestling yet. He thinks that big muscles are all that counts. But, he'll grow up.

You really need to start watching some fights prior to 2007 ... seriously. And not just UFC fights. Throw in a lot of Pride ... rings ... pancrase .... etc.

Both those fights went exactly the way a lot of people predicted because that's just how those guys fight.

Nog is one of the toughest fighters out there cause he takes a ton of punishment. And when his opponent gets too over confident .... he catches them. It's happened several times .... look it up.

And Tim ..... who knows. Some fights he looks great, but a lot of times he fights "not to lose". He looked somewhat decent last night. Still his health is really bad. In ten years he is probably not going to be able to walk.

Mir is the same thing .... put him against an inexperienced guy and he will do the same thing everytime. But the UFC had to pay Brock big bucks so they put him in big fights. Dumb move. We'll see what they do with him next.

Grats to mino, another win over a pretty solid opponent.

Damn, Big Nog is just a sponge for punishment.
Congrats to him, but he really needs to protect himself more in the 1st round.

sylvia vs. lesnar has to happen!

No .... Lesnar needs to fight a few tomato cans.
Matt Serra
Lesner wanted to jump into immediate title contention. I think it was a mistake. He's got to fight his way up.
chiefX
lesnar was extemely impressive and perhaps on another night may have beaten Mir. he was obviously overexcited and debuting on UFC PPV against a jui jitsu expert and former heavyweight champion meant likely failure. but the guy is enormously strong, lightning quick, a great wrestler and with more training and a few more fights under his belt against fighters on his level he will turn out to be a terrific asset for the division.

and to stay on topic, to anyone who thinks Minotauro Noguiera pulled out a lucky submission, you are grossly mistaken. He is a submissions expert and it would have been lucky for Tim Sylvia, a man with little ground skill compared to this warrior, to escape Noguiera's expertly applied guillotine. Big Nog followed through with his gameplan which Sylvia was noit able to defend

Noob, dumbfuck I've gotten every UFC PPV since 39 and got every DVD they have out, from from a noob as I'm sure I know well more about the sport them yourself, a submission is part luck, especially when you being completely dominated and happen to catch some as both Nog and Mir showed last night. Lesnar was bullshit as the deduction and standup from a shot that didn't even land to the back of Mir's head when he was on the verge of a 1 min GNP victory and it total control of the fight.

Again I've ordered every UFC back to 39, I've got Pride, KOTC, K1 DVD's and seen many of there PPV;s as well. Wasn't what my point is Tim and Brock both simply got caught, If I was betting sure I would've put money on the winners too, the Nog Silvia fight was very unimpressive to me as they both looked sluggish as hell. Nog will probably lose his belt his 1st fight if they give him another top 5 guy. The standup in the Brock Mir fight was just total BS as I've rewatched it 10+ times and Mir was turtled up and Brock nearly grazed the back of his head, if you are such and expert theres a thing called warnings as in one of the prior fights a guy was warned 4 times and the position was never broken up and them being stood up. I could see if Mir was hurt from the blow it being worth, but it grazed him. And then took Brock out of a completely dominate postion that he was in. They fight this fight 10 times, Brock wins 9 of them, Mir is nowhere near where he was when he was the champ.
