| The '72 Dolphins were pretty classless throughout this entire run. When other records are broken (actually only matched in this case) the original record holder is supposed to be gracious and sportsmanlike. These whiny bitches acted like it wasn't allowed to happen. There should have been more statements wishing them luck and they should have had some representation at the game. This shows that team has some lousy character. |

Glory in football is so FLEETING.
I say, let them CELEBRATE another year.
The PATSIES will never go 16-0 in another season ever. The idea of 18-1 again is ridiculous.
Theyve been exposed. They were overwhelmed by the GIANTS tonight.
"The Wheels" are coming off "The Wagon"
I am almost tempted to start a thread where we can analyze the many scenarios that might play out where they dont finish over .500 for at least 3 years and dont make the playoffs for another 10 :funny: |

If you need an out and out prediction, then I say no. But I can see them dancing around 8-8.
I do predict though that Shula and company pop the bottle again this year. I would also bet it is earlier then last year :jj: |

Well, you knew the Pats would choke on going 19-0...I mean, Brady lost that game.
I think the 72 Fins are safe forever........But the 2008 Fins, YIKES!!! |

Dolphins have a brighter future than your shit Jets.
How did Brady blow the game you dumb fuck? He can't throw the ball with no protection. Stop being obsessed with the Patriots. |

Let's see you have a QB that can't throw more than 20 yards, RB that only scored 2 TD last year, overpaid LT that looks to be a bust, Faneca who is overpaid, DT that never stays healthy, Pace who is a one year wonder along with other overpaid players on that team. I'd rather be young and under the cap like the Dolphins than having a team filled with overpaid players. |

The Jets have a young QB just like Miami and Buffalo has and they have winning veteran which those 2 teams do not have.
You do understand the OL was pathetic last yera and that it is now a strength? The RB will have more than 2 TDs this year and Miami welcomes back mr. distraction Ricky williams. One of the most overrated playesr in the history of the game. The man was great in 2002, that was 6 years ago and he's barely played. Ricky will take away carris from Brown who should be carrying the load.
Pace might be a 1 year wonder but Miami was willing to pay just as much to get him and we got him.
The Jets are not an old team and they are comfortably under the cap. Keep in mind since '02 the Jets have been an even year team making the playoffs each even numbered year and being bad each odd numbered year. The D could be a big time D led by David Harris and Kerry Rhodes, it played very well down the stretch and added a ton of big pieces this offseason. On O the Ol went from a weakness to a strength, now the backs will have more holes and the QBs will have more time to find receivers. if the Jets get anything halfway decent out of the QB position they will be a playoff contender.
We also have excellent STs although that was under Mike Westhoff and he's gone now so we'll see what happens STs wise.
Outside of NE and Indy(and maybe Seattle) teams get good and bad quickly in this league, the Jets were supposed to be good in '5 and they stunk, they were supposed to stink in '06 and they were good and they were supposed to be good last year and stunk. I think Mangini and Tannenbaum got a little too cute w/ their moves last year, they mishandled the Kendall situation and got a ltitle too full of themselves after 1 good year. I would hope that hasn't happened this offseason and I expect a much better team and our future looks brighter than Miami's as of today. |

Wanna bet? Add in Tuna is gone in 2-3 years.,...
As far as Brady, he was under/over throwing all game. In fact, he had Moss and that midget wide open several times, which could have sealed the game for the Pats....The greats find a way to win that game,. |

| That Dolphin D will look pretty weak without Jason and Zach. Jets reloaded this off season and made as many moves as they could.......... |

Never said Brady sucked, I said he was a product of a system, but now that we all know they cheated and the Pats have admitted to cheating since 2000, Brady and the Pats will have a huge * next to them in the books. I did say that in the biggest game of his career, he FAILED.
As far as Joba, this is a football thread but to play along, I did not see the game........... |

If you want to put * next to teams don't forget your 2000 Yankees.
How is he a product of the system when he threw for 4,806 yards and 50 TD? That must be one hell of a system. He didn't fail the defense failed not tackling Eli in that fluke play. He had the game won till the defense fell apart. |

So you are saying Brady played a perfect game? |

He could have played better if he had more time in the pocket, but he played well enough to win. I would say he played better than Eli, but the Giants defense played better than the Patriots defense and that was the difference in the game. |
