Dude, those types of people exist for every team. However especially NY teams. Mike and The Mad Dog have talked shit about Eli for weeks upon weeks, spent god knows how many hours. So I had to DVR Mike and The Mad Dog yesterday so I could hear what they say. Dude, I watched almost the first 3 hrs. The amount of time they spent praising eli was over/under 7 minutes!! It was fucking insane. Another example is on the same radio show when they did the whole Marquee thing with Russo to give away trips to the SB. First question they asked is what team are you a fan of. 95% of the people said..GIANTS. I was like what the fuck happened to the Jets fan. I realize there are more Giants fans then Jets fans but literally it was like the Jets did not even exist. No jet fans around. Ask the true Yankee fans, they will tell you the same thing. Remember big Stein wanted to move the team to Jersey because nobody was coming to the Bronx? Now its the hottest ticket in town! However you cant find one person who will admit to NOT "being a yankee fan my whole life" everybody is a yankee fan, even though under 20 yrs ago big Stein wanted to move the franchise.
I can give you 100 ridiculious examples. But my point is, this shit happens in every city across american. You guys have not really been dealt that much bullshit IMHO on this board. But then again, what do fuck do i know... :rolleyes: |

NE won 2 World Series and 3 Superbowls in the past 10 years and nothing for YEARS prior, The best team in that area was the 80s Celtics and is the best franchise out of all your teams with in how they dominated for years. Other than that New England can not talk shit with MLB and they are among MANY teams with 3 SB wins. New York teams and especially the Yankees have won for years - the only obsession going on is the New England fans over the past 4 years just because the Sox won 2 World Series.. they have about 20 or so more to go before they are in the Yankees league |

First off, the Boston fans set the fucking precedent... before 2004 your team was the whipping boy to the Yankees for forever, my Red Sox fan friend I roomed with in college never cheered harder than when the Diamondbacks beat the Yankees... I mean, that's pathetic, I cheer my own teams on, not the loss of teams I dislike...

Weak statement though, I am not a fan of either team and the Giants D-line dominated that game, Pats playing like shit had nothing to do with it, the Giants brought the Heat and the Pats never adjusted... don't shortchange the Giants with "a lucky pass/reception" lost us the game, bullshit.

I'd rather have the Pats lose a few games during the season, then have every team coming at them during the regular season play like it's their super bowl, and trying to end the steak. Yes, the Red Sox have enjoyed recent success as have the Pats, but the FACT is Boston goes fucking crazy when a NY team comes to town (headlines, sports talk shows, tv spots, etc.), when a Boston team comes to NY it get no special coverage AT ALL.
