i used to start them all the time but i leave it to other people now a days....i'm already in one and will join a few more but i like to wait until i hear from my usual leagues before committing to anybody else
we should have no problem getting 12-14 regulars from in here to get a league together, we could probably fill 3 or 4 leagues...the problem is that we all end up splintered all over the place because there ends up being too many leagues
i'm definitely interested once i figure out what my past leagues are up to |

I'll send out invites for people from last year, but if it fills up I'll start another one. I think we did roto last year, but I like head to head alot better. Might make a roto and head to head league and you can pick which one you want to join if not both. |

Where did you finish last year?
I'll post my sleepers and Top 100 players sometime in Spring Training to give you some more tips on who to draft. Remember these names though Evan Longoria, Clay Buchholz, Joba Chamberlain, Jay Bruce, and Geovany Soto some good late round picks. |

Last year was my first year playing and I finished 4th in a 12 team league, not horrible.
But I would love some tips. |

never draft players based on them being your favorite
draft according to the rules of your league....if there are more offensive stats draft offensive players higher, etc
i tend draft according to scarcity.....there aren't a lot of big hitting 2bs so i will draft them higher than their stats might otherwise suggest...obviously it also depends on who else is available |

My e-mail invite didn't work, but once I went to my Yahoo Baseball page, there was a invitation icon to click on.
That icon worked like a charm, and I was able to join w/o any trouble................... |

One of my big pet peeves in Fantasy sports, are the guys who sign up and never/rarely play.
I check my teams at least ONCE per day, every DAY,
and yes............
My teams always suck......................

| I usually check my teams and set my roster for the whole week Monday in case I can't get on certain days. It's really not that hard it only takes 5 minutes each day to add/drop and set your rosters, but most people quit if they struggle early on. |

I'm in a money league, but I league I made is just for bragging rights.
Petey you didn't even post the league id for your league. You have to give them your id# and password to join, but I guess it doesn't matter now. I just picked a random draft time and rather get it as close to opening day in case of any injuries during spring training. So post on the message board what times you are available like only on the weekend or any day after or before a certain time. Use your sfn handle for your team name if you want people to know who you are. |

a.lang, why the cf and 3 of positions? why not just go with a dh? .....though i see you have a utility spot....we're probably going to end up with with a full league and may need to expand....we had 18 last year....the more starting spots the more watered down it becomes but i'll go with whatever everybody else decides
my personal preference is the starting 8 positions and a dh |

i can do that lineup setting
the one thing i see is shutouts....how many shutouts are there over the course of a season? only one player had more than 2...it's basically a stat that ends in a tie each week 0-0....is there something you can substitute? |

how many were in your past league? that's not an easy thing when it's a deep league...you can drop a pitcher but the guy you replace him with is probably gonna suck...that's why you need stats that hurt that strategy like walks, whip and/or era...you can pile up the ks, ips and maybe wins but you lose walks, whip, era |

had a six pack plan last year, they sent me a letter offering a full or partial plan and I got Plan a 17 games and they sent out emails for early tickets purchase chances for opening day and red sox and then another for single game tickets two weeks ago....I have every sox game three pair for opening day and some other single game tickets that will go fast...mets and stuff...cant share it because it will give you my credit card info to pay for the tickets you buy sorry...single game tickets go on sale to genral public the 21st...... |

I bought tickets online 2 seasons ago so last year I got the advance purchase email.......I didn't get it this year so I guess I'll be buying on the 21st. |

I sent out an email to everybody so check whatever email you use for yahoo.
Sorry I can't change the draft time because it is too soon to the original draft time and yahoo doesn't have any spots left. Either we draft tomorrow at the original time or wait till next week after the season starts to draft which I don’t mind as its only 1 week.
I probably won't be able to make the draft either and I just set up a random time close to the season in case any big injuries happen and didn’t realize it was Easter. If you can't make it try to prerank some players.
If you guys want to draft next week at a later time I can do that I just need a majority. |
