Since our last attempt was such a rousing success, I'm proposing this book by New York Times investigative reporter, Philip Shenon, as our next pick. I just got it in the mail and will begin posting my observations soon.

I discovered that I am just not fit to participate in a book club. My reading interests are too spontaneous. I think a more workable idea might just be a book recommendation/review thread.

But can you really review or recommend it before you have read it?

Certainly I can recommend it. I've started reading it. The articles that disclosed some of his discoveries is what caught my attention.

I'm about 60 pages in and I've learned why Kissinger resigned from chairmanship of the Commission, why Zelikow was picked as Executive Director, how Sen. Graham's disclosures that the operation was partly funded by Saudi royals was suppressed, and a whole lot more.

Why did the Bush administration try and prevent Sen Bob Graham's findings that "there was a direct line between the terrorists and the government of Saudi Arabia?

No offence Stick, but I think the deep Russian history had a better shot here than this one.

I'm not shocked you feel that way. And you could be right. This is one book neither you nor Snoopy or other vociferious adherents to the implausible official story will want to read.

It's scathing, man and it does not assert an Inside Job.

Who would have thought that McCain is the senator most responsible for getting the 9/11 Commission established. Apparently, he was so mad at Bush for the 2000 Republican race, he wanted the Bush administration's incompetence and negligence exposed.

Unfortunately, he's a bootlicker and he'll embrace Bush for the endorsement.
