Despite his lobbying not to be named an All-Star, Rasheed Wallace was officially selected to replace Kevin Garnett (strained abdomen) in the 2008 All-Star game.
Wallace was hoping to get some rest over the All-Star weekend, but instead he'll be in New Orleans for all the festivities. It's very difficult to feel bad for him. |

As Kenny Smith and Charles Barkley said "Rasheed could be the most dominant player EVER if he had the determination to be the number one option."
They also said that there has never been anyone with that size who could post you down low and take you outside for three. His shot is unguardable and I agree 100% |

It's the Dean Smith curse. He wouldn't let his players find their offensive game.
Dean preferred to run the dreaded 4-corners garbage, costing him at least 2 titles directly (loved it!!!).
His players had to start trying to score when they went to the NBA. Some succeeded.
And Sheed is a headcase. He's not out of control (like the one the Kings are trying to get rid of), but it's cost him.
Bird was far better inside and from 3. And Bird was a leader as well.

Bird doesnt have the post presence Rasheed has. Rasheed's shot is simply unstopable. Rasheed is 3 inches taller and has a really high release. So when you say far better inside, you take away any credibility of your post
I agree that Bird was a better player but the point was Rasheed DOESNT want to be a leader. If he did have the heart of Larry Bird or Michael Jordan he would be the most dominant offensive weapon of all time, considering his size and range |

6'9" vs. 6'11, is not 3 inches, but that's not really important.
what were the results of their games?
Bird CHECKMATE every single time.
If Rasheed had some positive CHARACTER he would have done a lot more.
Not sure I'd argue that as a thing that makes him a better player.
But you emo kids find strange things to celebrate, so I'll smile and say, OK crazy... |
