So if she was ahead then Fl/MI don't matter. But now that she's behind, we must count them. Fuck FL and MI they were told not to move their election. So fuck em.
nobody
it would be pretty ridiculous if they ended counting as is. especially michigan.
CrackHead_Fan
...never saw this one coming...

No surprise now that she's behind.
Loaning money to the campaign, firing managers, etc.
She's running scared like the hunted pig she is.
Great days for American politics!
Reverend Tyler
shes also been urging them to be counted for about 2-3 weeks now.

They can hold special caucuses/primaries in those states - which Obama will carry easily...or they can give the delegates in proportion with the national popular vote totals - which would give a very slight edge to Obama (for now, anyway)

I've said it before and I'll say it again.

If you support Hillary, you are either ignorant or stupid.

Lets see they were told, if you move your primarys to a date that early they wont count at all for the Democrats and only count as half for the Republicans.

They said fuck it and moved them anyway.

And now they are pissy because they dont count.

Fuck em. I dont care who was ahead or behind in those states. Their shit shouldnt count. Like it would have killed them to wait another two weeks.

Why dont we just let those self important fucks cast thier November ballots now?

There is an easy solution to this dilemma. Lets let the liberals most admired politician in the last 15 years decide, Bill Clinton. He's always been someone the liberals have looked up to for guidance and counsel.

The 2008 Florida Republican primary was held on January 29, 2008, with 57 delegates at stake on a winner-take-all basis. The Republican National Committee removed half of Florida's delegates because the state committee moved its Republican primary before February 5.

Zimmiecrite strikes again.

The Republicans set forth rules for counting delegates before the primary. The Democrats disenfranchised all voters by having no rules that allowed for votes to count at all. See you in court dumbass.

This may be a concept beyond your limited reasoning abilities.....

Love how Obama supporters now would prefer to win even if he doesn't get the most votes. I miss the good ole "Count Every Vote" Democrats.

He is getting most votes. See he didn't campaign in Michigan and Florida because he followed the rules. That's something to admire.

Really? So now your claiming that the Democrats had no idea whatsoever that thier votes wouldnt count months before they voted in their primary?

Is there nothing you wont lie about? Never mind I know the answer. I was here when you were claiming to be a soldier when you were two years old.

It's comes as no surprise that the DNC chose Howard Dean as the chair.

After all, he ran that brilliant campaign in 2004 - why would anyone question his judgement?

A Special Message from Karen L. Thurman
Friday, January 18, 2008

Dear Florida Democrat,

Florida is in the driver's seat. Despite what the Washington skeptics and pre-programmed pundits predicted, the nation's eyes are turning to our January 29th Presidential Primary. It is important to vote in this election.

There's been a lot of fuss about delegates, but it's time to forget all that and just vote. The nationally respected RealClearPolitics website noted today that the Florida Democratic Primary will "include all the candidates on the ballot, and the entire media universe will be watching the outcome, guaranteeing the Sunshine State a big impact on the presidential race as it hurtles toward a critical moment the following week on Tsunami Tuesday."

Primary Day is not for another 11 days, but Florida Democrats are already voting in strong numbers. More than 200,000 have requested to vote by mail (absentee). Are you one of them? If not, there's still time to sign up.

Click here to request your absentee ballot so you can vote by mail.

You can also choose to vote early in person. In the first week of early voting, several thousand more Democrats than Republicans went to the polls. Let's keep that up! The Florida Democratic Party has a nifty webpage that will help you find your location: www.fladems.com/vote.

Make no mistake, Florida Democrats will be heard on January 29th. The energy and momentum is on the Democratic Party's side nationwide, and Florida is no different. Thousands upon thousands of Florida Democrats are heading to the polls to make their voice heard in the final primary in the country before February 5th (the potentially decisive "Tsunami" or "Super Duper" Tuesday when more than 20 states will hold primaries or caucuses).

Click here to learn how to vote by mail or to find your early vote location. Or just go to the polls on January 29th. Make your voice heard, Florida!

Sincerely,
Congresswoman Karen L. Thurman
Chair, Florida Democratic Party

P.S. If you're really committed to helping elect a Democratic President in 2008, please visit http://www.fladems.com/createCHANGE08 to learn more about how you can get involved in your spare time.

He was on the ballot. You're supporting the disenfranchisement of millions of people because you prefer the results it brings. And I thought the Republicans were bad.

"The rules", feh. Florida Democrats took a courageous stand against the status quo of a couple of farmers in a town hall setting the entire tone of the election.

Here's a solution to appease the disenfranchised in Florida and Michigan and the party as a whole:
Re-vote!
Put both candidates on the ballot and allow them to both campaign for a week or two.
This could be between the last primary in Puerto Rico and the DNC.
Whoever wins the majority of delegates and popular vote wins the nomination.
Not only that, the party can be confident that the right choice was made as both are key states in the general election.
Voters are happy, the superdelegates become moot, and the Dems march towards the White House after a competitive election, unlike the John McCain coronation where real voices of reason like Ron Paul were ignored.
modeams
Such a bullshit thread... I've abused the multing system in the past... but this kind of bullshit should be banned from PN.

DNC ruled it void... show me the nytimes piece kumquat.
flamslam64
I cannot believe I am actually saying this but Al Sharpton is right. He says that Clinton should have argued this point and had it resolved when it first happened. Julian Bond is out there saying that by not counting Fla and Mich you are disenfranchising minority votes. Big Al is right why did you not take this to court immediately? You may not agree with it but the party made this call at the start and candidates planned their stratergies accordingly (Obama was not even on the Mich ballot and he chose not to really campaign in Fla). If they give the delegates to Clinton they will create a serious problems for themselves. This will be typical Clinton bullshit and if Hillary gets the nod because of this who is going to look at her as a legitimate candidate especially after spending the last eight years accussing Republicans of fraud. You can't make this shit up....precious.
