The 02-21-08 guests are ilovesavanna, Mr Jeff, oldmanpops, & altered77.

HOWARD'S EMPIRE
- Howard said that a few weeks ago he was offered the opportunity to "run an empire" by someone in the business he loves, respects, and would have loved to work with. He said that no one else would have turned this offer down but he did it because he wanted to focus on Sirius. He said he owed it to sirius and the fans that came with him to not spread himself too thin. What the hell is he talking about?
ROBIN'S BLOODWORK
we could talk about Robin's Wed morning bloodwork. does this tie into the theory that robin is sick which explains the weight loss, & trips to LA for treatment, is she getting cosmetic surgery, or did Jim give her something?
MERGER TALK 1 YEAR & STILL GOING
- With all the reports that the merger may go thru any day, there's been alot of talk with people freaking out thinking the merger will fuck over the fans. What are your feelings? Pros & Cons?
- Is Howard more or less likely to re-sign if this goes thru? What about Bubba? Who will Howard battle next?
VACATION SPECIALS
- With 2 days of Mammary lane & 2 days of the Legends of Laughter, what were the highlights from the week?
- What did you catch that you'd never hear today? (what's different about the show now & then)
- How was Levy as the host of the enw Lengends of Laughter format? Who was missing?

CALLING INTO THE SHOW: When calling into the show, there's no need to give shout outs to SFN or your friends on SFN. We don't have a ton of time so please don't waste any of it. We already have topics setup. Please be a good caller and respond to the topics. Thanks 1-888-STERN-101
GETTING ON THE SHOW: Each week I start a roundtable brainstorming thread where the fans help build our topics and a listening thread where people discuss the show while it's happening. if you'd like to do the show, get in there and participate. once you've been around for awhile ask to be on the show and pick a date. there's a schedule posted in every brainstorming thread.
GUESTS OF THE SHOW: The show airs from the Sirius studios in NYC Times Square. It's on the 36th floor of the McGraw Hill building on the corner of 49th & 6th in studio 21. Guests should be there at 6PM so we can do mic checks. The show goes live at 7PM. You can not bring any friends. our studio is very small and there's really no place for them. I'll need your full name in advance and you need to bring your ID for security. If I don't put you on the list and you don't have your ID, you will not be able to get in.
This is an office and you are expected to be on your best behavior. It's not some free for all party. You shouldn't do anything that you would do when stopping by the bank. You cannot bring alcohol, take off your clothes, make noise, or bother people. I know you are a Stern fan but we're not out at the bar. You need to be cool. Don't stop them and ask for an autograph or photo. Everytime one of you misbehaves, I get a new rule to follow.
You CAN NOT walk around Sirius. You will be escorted from the upstairs lobby to the studio and back out. Do not take it upon yourself to just walk around & check things out. Nobody is allowed to stop by other shows. DO NOT stop by Ferrall's studio under any circumstances even if you think it's OK. I've been told by management that it's not. If you'd like to be a guest on Ferrall, they need to put you on their guest list.
You may take photos in the studio but please do not take pictures in the halls or lobby.
DO NOT sign the wall.
All plugs must be approved in advance. If you are going to be on the show and you have something to plug, you need to let me know the day before. ANYONE WHO PLUGS A WEBSITE OR BUSINESS WITHOUT PERMISSION WILL NOT BE INVITED BACK. |

What about reemphasizing that its been over three months now since Bubba did his last Friday morning show, and Sirius still has yet to fill the time slot. How fucking long does it take to make a decision. Maybe thats why Sirius hasn't even come close to being a financially stable company. :dontknow:
I'm sure you thought of this, but talking about the new developments with the ETM & Kendra shit and having Ed Torian polygraph them? |

Cross promotion....advertising other channels on howard's shows. Not a good idea, I just heard about the Bruce channel playing all his songs in order from Greetings and I immediatly turned off mammery lane. |

| You have to address the ETM/Kendra trainwreck. You can really dig into it all. Howard is never going to spend ample time on the subject and I agree with whomever said it may even enhance Howard covering it when he gets back from vacation. All the best shit goes down when Howard is out. :puh: |

I think this was discussed last week when Mutt was out.
Agreed Eric must be discussed and Howard wont give it the time it deserves.
This legends of laughter should be awesome. If they dont play any of Mitch Hedberg I am holding Bob personally responsible.
Ideal show as I see it would be either half Midget half friday show. But I do think friday show ideas have been beaten to death and no one appears interested in burying the body. So maybe half midget half conspiracy. But I think those are kinda silly. So I dont know.
But this legends of laughter should be awesome |

We can speculate on what Arties reality show might look like.We can discuss if Howard Got Married during the week of.Howard's Youngest daughter is off from school this week.It would be a great time for Howard to get married.What I do not under any circumstance think we should discuss is ETM,Kendra ,Johnny.Let Howard deal with that bed of Nails.I am a diehard Howard Stern fan and I don't think we should all be taken advantage of.NO ATTENTION To Them is your best remedy.

If the SIRIUS/XM merger goes though soon, will the H100/101 budget improve so that we might see things like the Vegas shows, HS Film Festival, new talent hired for the channels etc, or is there so much red ink that it'll be years before SIRIUS is healthy money-wise?
Was there an NAB (Clear Channel etc...) conspiracy to drive both XM and SIRIUS into bankruptcy by delaying the merger via manipulation of Congress with multi-million $$ lobbying efforts? |

I don't listen to a minute of anything post-1989, when I started listening to the show.
Unless it's VERY early K-Rock or NBC stuff, I zone out.
Even with intros "explaining" and "dissecting."
It's still Best Of. And somebody ELSE's idea of what the "Best Of" Stern is.
I have 80+ CDs of MY Best Of... squirreling it away for the (possible) day when Howard doesn't renew his contract.
(Although that's when he signs a late-night deal with a cable network like Showtime for a 1-hr nightly show from 11-midnight). Or does it on HowardTV, and you HAVE to pay to see him - for one hour a day. |

I thought yesterday's was brilliant. S-50 is recording today's show. Black Jeopardy yesterday had me missing Big Black. And I remember how funny it was hearing King of all Blacks fighting with Angry Black. I don't think that I have ever used the word black more. |

Wait so hedberg was on mammary lane? What the fuck I cant believe I missed it. He was really funny on his 2 appearances(he only appeared 2 times riiiiight?). He was my favorite comedian and I was extremely bummed when he died, still am. I cant believe the took this long to replay it. I been emailing the tapes team since its inception.
I dont know which one they played, but I loved when they were discussing John Kerry and Mitch goes, "Yea dude I say a picture of a guy running through the jungle without a shirt on, THAT DUDES BADASS!"
He really was perfect on the show, low key but hilarious. Also on one of his appearances Howard tried to find out about a leg injury he had. But Mitch was extremely vague about it. Anybody know what happened. Maybe I should check wikipedia before I throw that question out there. |

I dont think we have a Friday show because they dont think they need one. The same way they dont wanna pay Riley cause no one is cancelling without him, no one is going to cancel because they dont have a live friday show. And they arent going to gain any new subs because of a Friday show.
I would like an explanation as to exactly what Tim does all day. I am sure he does something, but what?

What did you catch that you'd never hear today? (what's different about the show now & then) Did you miss the live shows this week? Why are these specials better / worse than the Friday Mastertapes?

I want to discuss this. Even if Sirius doesn't want to spend money on Friday programming until they get the final word on a merger, there are still options.
These include people ALREADY under contract with Sirius.
Why not have "friends of Stern" host rotating Friday shows?
Let Jim Breuer do one week - then Jay Thomas the next - expose them to a new audience and give the H101 listeners a NEW option to retread Stern. |

howard said he was offered the opportunity to "run an empire" by someone in the business he loves, respects, and would have loved to work with. He said it would have been the best announcement to make. He said that no one else would have turned this offer down but he did it because he wanted to focus on Sirius. He said he owed it to sirius and the fans that came with him to not spread himself too thin. He said this offer was made to him a few weeks ago...
