I had my S50 since Howard started but this week it officially died on me. Doesn't boot up in the car or home. It was a good run though so I can't be too mad.
The problem is what to do now. I thought I would just buy a new S50 but didn't realize Sirius doesn't sell the unit anymore. I saw some for sale on ebay but was wondering if Sirius will still activate them?
I've always read mixed reviews on the Stiletto and I really wasn't ready to spend $400 when its all said and done.
What do you guys suggest? Bite the bullet on the Stiletto 2, car and home kit? Is it worth it? Or is the Sportster 5 a good alternative. |

| Buy an S50 off Ebay, just make sure you buy from the right seller. |

| I have been really unsatisfied with Sirius except for Howard!! I bought 2 S50's as well as all the executive docking stations and other accesories..of course the S50's both died.. NO support from Sirius whenever I call.(. problems with activation..signal etc etc..all the problems everyone has..)I have spent a fortune on radios for me,my family and friends ( I gave10 of them this past Christmas)..all because we all love Howard..but I have been so disgusted with the lack of support from Sirius that if Howard weren't on I wouldn't be a subscriber and I certainly wouldn't have bought so many as gifts! |

i would purchase a cheap radio, and wait until the merger news is resolved. don't invest big dollars in a new radio until the merger news is solved.

| I have Stiletto 1. It does weird stuff sometimes but I love it. Just get the Stiletto 1 or 2, an exectutive docking station, and car adapter and and you're good to go...anywhere. |
