Not only do you have to step in and replace a living legend, that is bad enough. But the fact that he has only thrown 58 passes in his career and that in each game he got into the past 2 yrs he got knocked out of that very game and ended up being out for the season does not bode well when the guy you are replacing played through any and every injury that he ever had. You look like a total and complete pussy next to him and it will be funny to watch when he gets knocked out of week 1 game 1 and ends up missing 5 plus weeks. It would be the first time in 17 yrs that a GB QB will have missed a game for a injury.

He came on the field in Dallas and bailed Favre out by making it a close game. But he did that knowing he was still the backup. The pressure on him now is tremendous. They may throw him in the cheese vat or grind him in the brat maker if he doesn't produce.

And has had 4 years to practice. I thought he would never get a shot.

But he is a flat out pussy. 2 yrs ago he played like 1 quarter and broke his foot and was out for the year. Then this year he plays less than 3 qtrs and injures his hamstring and was out the rest of the year. Considering what Favre had played through in the past, he had to feel like such a pansy and Favre probably thought the guy was a pussy.

knowing he's the starter and playing every week will make him stronger. also who knows if he will even be the starter come September. the Packers may sign or trade for a veteran.

He's been there for a while, and it's a good team. That seems like a good situation for an inexperienced qb. It's not easy to be an NFL qb. This is a better situation than Jamarcus Russell has.

Just call him Aaron "David Lee Roth" Rodgers

it's a moot point....farve will be back

I think Rodgers will be the opening day QB but i also wouldnt rule out GM Ted Thompson spending a mid round draft pick on a QB just in case Rodgers doesnt work out.

I liked what I saw from Rodgers in the Dallas game and I thought he would make a good pro coming out of college. He might not be as tough as Favre, but Favre wouldn't have played with a broken foot either.

i doubt it. that last game against the Giants showed he was well past his prime. he's done.
DestroVega
at least he finally gets to try!

He has a good team set up around him so there will not be that much pressure on him to be great.
