You better lay off the crack and quit snorting coke out of your wifes ass because the fat fuck will revert to the injury prone jabroni he has always been.

he will have a good year but i don't see a cy young for him this year i think C.C will win it again (contract year)
DestroVega
In all honesty...wtf is up with him coming to camp looking like 2 Josh Becketts?... that's way out of hand.

He will still win 16-20...

Good thing about baseball is you can be a fat fuck and still be a great player.

You call Beckett fat, but CC is 290 pounds compared to Beckett 230.

CC might eat himself out of the league soon.

injury prone?....what injuries are you talking about?....even if he were to miss opening day with back spasms i think he's at the top of his game....20 wins shouldn't be an issue

if his wife blows as scheduled and there are no complications he'll make it.....obviously he's the whole reason they were the team going over there...if he doesn't make the trip there will be a lot of disappointed japanese fans
DestroVega
I know you gotta be there for your wife, but for Dice-K to not make that trip would be a total joke.

I thought the Japs were all about work. Wasn't that the theme to that movie Gung Ho?

the birth of your child is slightly more important than some rah-rah mlb trip....i'm sure most of the players would like to avoid the trip

yeah but it's Dice-K...so it's different.

Josh Beckett could miss Red Sox opener?
The Red Sox are slated to leave Florida for Japan a week from Wednesday and there's a distinct possibility ace righthander Josh Beckett won't be accompanying the team to pitch the opener. Beckett suffered back spasms while warming up Saturday and left without throwing a pitch. He has yet to speak publicly about the injury, but manager Terry Francona allowed yesterday in Vero Beach, Fla., that Beckett might not be with the team when it opens in Japan against Oakland. Beckett has yet to pitch to major league hitters this spring and his scheduled Thursday start has been given to Bartolo Colon. "We're not there yet," cautioned Francona when asked about Beckett not being available for Japan. -- Boston Globe

there is no point making him take that 20+ hour flight for 1 start.....why take the chance of having the back spasms flare up...in fact, even if he's fine they should leave him here

Agreed. Leave Beckett in the states. One game in Japan for some MLB pub is not a season.

Tell that to Pete Rose. He didn't excuse Terry Francona when he was playing for the Reds to attend the birth of his child. He told Terry to "keep on going" if he missed a game.

BTW....Josh B. is still the best pitcher in the American League. His contract also makes him one of the best bargains in MLB.

He'll win at least 17 this year before October. You remember what it's like to have an ace in October, don't you?
