| Hey Captain can you please comment on the demise of Jimmie Johnson this year. I think its pretty fucked up that Hendrick has put all his resources into the 88 and 24. I guess Kyle was right when he said the Hendrick team is a 2 tier organization. Maybe someone should have Ricks head examined and tell him hes an unloyal asshole. |

the two tiers that "Weed" used to speak of was true when it was Jimmie and Jeff vs "Weed" and Casey...those days are over. Casey may be the 4th man out with Dale Jr in the fray, but that's the extent of it.
Jimmie won the pole for Daytona, finished 2nd at California, and got in to two wrecks that were not his fault at Daytona and Vegas...hang in there, he's not out of it yet and I dont think Rick is doing anything to work against the #48 team.

Thunder | I predict a mind boggling year for the 48 team. Last week they did horrible and this week they only ended up 11th in the pole and the other 2 are 1 and 2. Ironically Jeff said he was thankfull the 48 team hepled set his car up since he hadnt tested last year in Atlanta. So one would have to think Jimmie should of placed higher in the field. I really think the best equipment has been handed over to the 88 and now Jimmie will be the Kyle busch of last year. No way JR is as good as Jimmie Johnson and Chad Knaus. Fucking JR can hardly put a sentence together  |

| Well this is only the 4th race of the season...and I almost had a point until I went to look at the points standings and saw Junior the only one from Hendrick in the top 10...odd |

You conspiracy theorists have got to give it a rest. I have heard this stuff for about 5 years now and I can promise you it's not true. I don't understand why fan's think team's give better equipment to the better driver's. It's simply not the case. The issue with Kyle last year was not regarding equipment, it was regarding the sharing of information. Kyle felt like Jimmie and Jeff's team's shared everything and worked as one, while him and Casey were left on their own to fend for themselves. This was very true and it was unfair to Kyle, Casey, and everyone that worked on their cars.
However, this is not the case this year. As soon as Jr came in, all four teams began sharing information and working as one big family. Not to mention, all of the Hendrick team's pick from the same equipment. There is no rhyme or reason as to how you get your equipment...they all pick from the same "pile". They are using the same stuff on each car. The only difference is how you set it up. In fact, the team's that lease engine's from Hendrick also pick from the same "pile".
Jimmie has had great car's in 2 of the 3 race's so far and he will have plenty of great car's throughout the 2008 season.
This may be the most important thing to remember...Tony Jr. came over to Hendrick before the season ended last year and got an early start on 2008 and the Hendrick equipment. Meanwhile, Chad and Jimmie and Steve and Jeff where focused on the remaining 2007 Chase races and trying to win a championship. They had no time to work on preparing for this year or the COT.
I will say this though...Rick Hendrick will DREAD the day he let Kyle Busch go...In baseball terms, that move will go down as the equivalent of the Red Sox trading Babe Ruth to the Yankees for money to stage a Broadway show! What a jackass! "Weed" will win more than 50 races and a FEW championships!
Just my thoughts...Thunder.

| Alright Captain im gonna say something I dont want to but the TRUTH needs to be told. At the end of the season last year JD Gibbs did an interview on Sirius and he was asked point blank why is Gibbs leaving Chevrolet to go to Toyota when they have so much success already with Chevy. JDs answer floored me and Im still shocked today. He told the interviewer that Gibbs racing is leaving Chevrolet because Rick Hendrick gets the best equipment from GM and everyone else is second rate. Now those type of accusations are not something that the head of a race team would say unless it were true. So therefore it seems to me like 2 of Hendricks cars are getting the best equipment and the other 2 are like everyone else. Kinda seems like Hendrick has chucked Jimmie to the weeds for Jr. Now I admit its early but im going down in the books today and predicting a --Mind boggling year for the 48 team :( |

| I can't believe Kyle Busch is only 22 and been around this long and as good as he is. After I turned 23 is when I quit wrecking so much shit. Gibbs made a tremendous move getting him on his team, unlike his former boss Dan Snyder who would get free agents at their peak and overpay them. Seems like Hendrick made a move quite a bit like Dan Snyder by getting Earnhart Jr. at his peak when Kyle Busch's best stuff will be 5 to 10 years away. I guess on Hendrick's team Kyle Busch would always be a heel and hard to get sponsors. On Gibbs team I think he is much more of a babyface. Earnhart Jr. will always be a babyface and able to get the big sponsors. |

I used to think the same thing. Mostly because he was a little green, and related to Kurt who I still do not like. Kyle is the real deal though, and is tough as hell this season. My pick for the champ in 08. The Toyotas are on fiyah! Rowdy is a good shoe with a great future ahead of him.
Yeah, Stewart will probably get fined for that, for the sole reason that Goodyear pumps money into the nascrap machine. Know what's sad? He spoke the truth....nothing more, nothing less. Dipshit DW at the beginning of the race said that goodyear was having trouble with the tires in testing, so they just decided to use a compound hard as a rock to keep the problems from developing. Only to later turn and say that they used a "safe" tire baby facing after Tony's comments. Just because it didn't explode doesn't make it safe. It couldn't build enough heat to stick the fucking cars to the track. Results? 3 seconds slower lap times than last year, cars slipping and sliding around sideways at 180mph (NOT safe), and the most boring fucking race I have EVER had to witness.
Tony was right.....goodyear was shitting the bed in every other series for YEARS....sprint cars did away with them quite some time ago. The monopoly forced onto the teams by nascar is the ONLY reason anyone in the series is still running the piles of shit. |

What opened my eyes to how kick ass Kyle was......last year at the Prelude. He was letting it all hang out a foot from the wall and FAST. Anyone who can do that, much less the first time at Eldora has the official brass balls badge. Those not in the know, don't kid yourselves.....Eldora is one of the meanest race tracks on earth, bar none.
Also gotta love last week when his pit box radioed to him to start taking it easy mid race when he was up front. His reponse? "Negative, ghost rider". :) |

If they fine Tony theyll have to spread it around
Hopefully it was a good lesson learned "Goodyear doesn't like to hear people bashing them tires and I don't like doing it, but I ain't going to sit here and put up with this. And I don't think any of those other drivers or anybody is going to do it. Hopefully, we can all get along and come up with something better than this."
DALE EARNHARDT JR
I felt like I was going to crash every single lap". "I'm exhausted right now. I feel like I've run a thousand miles here. That was the hardest day I have ever had at Atlanta, especially for a top-five finish. This car, this tire, at this track was just terrible."
Jeff Gordon
Tony on video entertaining as always. Damn he practically called for Goodyear to shitcan thier R&D staff.

| You KNOW it's bad when Gordon goes against the grain to point out something sucks. |
|
|
| WillowGlen |
| Gordon was already backtracking yesterday. And NASCAR sent Jr to (crash the party) at yesterdays test for PR. Goodyear must have called and raised Hell with NASCAR. The NASCAR channel has been nothing but a 2 day lineup of Goodyear groupies. I never seen every commentator on a channel parrot the exact same talking points on a single subject, other than FoxNews of course. They are pretty much all hanging Smoke out to dry. If Ive heard the word for word "opinon" from NASCAR commentators that "Tony has the right to say what he wants but he overreacted" once in the last 48 hours ive heard it a hundred times. |

Yeah, but unfortunately everytime he speaks the truth about something, all the roundmouths (haters) call him a whiny little bitch. |

I dont hate him but saying it one day and then backtracking the next to toe the NASCAR PR company line and hang Tony out to dry makes him a whiny little bitch. |
