He should be censured by Congress and publicly repudiated, denounced and rejected by John McCain
Last week he said this about Barack Obama:
Quote: "I don't want to disparage anyone because of their race, their ethnicity, their name - whatever their religion their father might have been," he said. "I'll just say this: When you think about the optics of a Barack Obama potentially getting elected President of the United States -- I mean, what does this look like to the rest of the world? What does it look like to the world of Islam?"
He continued: "I will tell you that, if he is elected president, then the radical Islamists, the al-Qaida, the radical Islamists and their supporters, will be dancing in the streets in greater numbers than they did on September 11 because they will declare victory in this War on Terror."
King thinks radical Islamists will say the United States has capitulated because the Obama administration would be pulling troops out of any conflict associated with al-Qaida.
"Additionally, his middle name (Hussein) does matter," King said. "It matters because they read a meaning into that in the rest of the world. That has a special meaning to them. They will be dancing in the streets because of his middle name. They will be dancing in the streets because of who his father was and because of his posture that says: Pull out of the Middle East and pull out of this conflict."
He continued: "There are implications that have to do with who he is and the position that he's taken. If he were strong on national defense and said 'I'm going to go over there and we're going to fight and we're going to win, we'll come home with a victory,' that's different. But that's not what he said. They will be dancing in the streets if he's elected president. That has a chilling aspect on how difficult it will be to ever win this Global War on Terror."
|
I love when people say "I don't want to disparage anyone because of their race, their ethnicity, their name - whatever their religion their father might have been," and then proceed to do just that...
Oh but that isnt all...heeeees baaaaaaaack
| Quote: Rep. Steve King (R-IA) has elaborated on his comments last week that al-Qaida would be "dancing in the streets" if Barack Obama wins, saying that Obama would "certainly be viewed as a savior for them. That's why you will see them supporting him, encouraging him." |
Fucking shameless....Im sure all the Republicans in here will be flocking in to say how it isn't racist whatsoever....whatever. Steve King is a shameless hack who is trying to make a name for himself off of hate speech. Disgusting. |

I'd save the outrage until he's elected President and what he envisions doesn't happen.
I beleive the al-Qaida, the radical Islamists and their supporters, would prefer an Obambi Presidency to that of John McCain. |

Meanwhile, Al Qaeda is already dancing in the streets because they're succeeding in what they set out to do...

| What is wrong in basically asserting that if a candidate who has vowed to retreat from Iraq (although a senior advisor of his campaign told the foreign press that that was just empty rhetoric), then Al Qaeda will be "dancing in the streets" because they will view said retreat as their victory against the United States? Is it wrong to think that Al Qaeda won't interpret a US retreat as nothing but a victory? |

From all of the "We're winning in Iraq" rhetoric I have seen and heard, if Al qaeda went out dancing in the streets (in Iraq at least), they would be cut down by regular Iraqis who don't want them in their country. |

thats not what he said at all...he said it was because of his name and his race
Do you really think the election of Barrack Obama would be a bigger strike against the US than 9/11?!?!?!?!?!?! |

How do you think Al Qaeda and radical Islam will view America's surrender from Iraq?
Will that embolden them to step up their attacks here and throughout the world, or will it bring about peace and tranquility by extremists? |

Complely ignoring the ridiculousness of your bullshit "surrender" talking point, id say they are probably scared shitess that we could have a leader that was going to concentrate on the country they are actually coming from instead of the bullshit next door community basketball court that Bush has turned Iraq into. |

I dont think Al Qaeda will like that Obama isn't planning on letting Al Qaeda lay out in vacation homes just cuz they reside in the safe haven of Pakistan. |

Agreed. King brought up 2 things. 1 they see a special meaning in his middle name and 2 Obama = withdrawl from Iraq and an Al Qaeda victory.
1.) They would dance in the street because they see something special in his name? Well, there are many other Hussein names out there that oppose Al Qaeda so I don't see what is special with this name. If you are named Mohammad that doesn't mean the Sunni will see something special in your name. You could very easily be a shiite who wants to kill them.
2.) We cut and run like Lieutenant General William E. Odom says we should, they will be dancing in the street? They will have to instead of dance, find a way to live with the other factions who will be fighting for power, recources, territory, etc etc etc. |

So your on board with Obama's promise of a major effort in Afghanistan?
Are the troops trained to fight in that region, they've been in the desert for the past few years..
Do we have the equipment to fight in that terrain?
What will signify victory in Afghanistan?
Is there an exit strategy there?
Or should we rush into Afghanistan without answers to those questions?
These are some of the complaints we've heard about Iraq, surely we wouldn't do that again would we? |

Actually Al-Qaeda loves Republican Party. They prefer more of the same and if they could campaign for McCain they would. |

Yeah, I was trying to post this thing my uncle sent me with Obama morphed into bin Laden in a campaign poster that I found really vile and racist, but the thing wouldn't post right, so I replaced it with something I found online that looks like a fun Spring Break pic.
I didn't photoshop it. Just found it. And again, I'm not one of those tools who thinks he's Muslim or sympathizes with terrorists.
I just find the thumbs up funny. |
