FRIDAYS
- Jay Thomas sat in with Shuli & Madison last week and the fans all said thank god there's finally something live on in the morning BUT is it the right show for that timeslot?
- Did you enjoy it? Should Jay be back? How often?
- What other Sirius shows should be thrown into the rotation?
- Was it better than Mastertape theater? Which did you listen to?
- Would you rather that they bring back the old Friday Show?
E-RATINGS
- Howard's fans have spoken and it seems they don't like him. He's considered creepy while Artie & Gary are funny. How can the fans rate the King this way?
- Do you agree with the results of Goodstein's survey?
- Do you think it got under Howard's skin?
- Howard says he's had it with the fans on SFN, the survey, & in the mail. Have things gotten too negative or do people always like to bitch? What's the problem?
My take on it, since 90% of the people knew Howard but only 12% knew Artie & 8% knew Gary. It seems to me the 12% who knew Artie & Gary are Stern fans. They probably had positive stuff to say about Howard Artie & Gary. The other 78% of people who knew Howard but not Artie or Gary must not really be fans. Thus all the negative shit. If they realized Artie & Gary were on the Stern Show, they'd have probably talked shit on them too.

CALLING INTO THE SHOW: When calling into the show, there's no need to give shout outs to SFN or your friends on SFN. We don't have a ton of time so please don't waste any of it. We already have topics setup. Please be a good caller and respond to the topics. Thanks 1-888-STERN-101
GETTING ON THE SHOW: Each week I start a roundtable brainstorming thread where the fans help build our topics and a listening thread where people discuss the show while it's happening. if you'd like to do the show, get in there and participate. once you've been around for awhile ask to be on the show and pick a date. there's a schedule posted in every brainstorming thread.
GUESTS OF THE SHOW: The show airs from the Sirius studios in NYC Times Square. It's on the 36th floor of the McGraw Hill building on the corner of 49th & 6th in studio 21. Guests should be there at 6PM so we can do mic checks. The show goes live at 7PM. You can not bring any friends. our studio is very small and there's really no place for them. I'll need your full name in advance and you need to bring your ID for security. If I don't put you on the list and you don't have your ID, you will not be able to get in.
This is an office and you are expected to be on your best behavior. It's not some free for all party. You shouldn't do anything that you would do when stopping by the bank. You cannot bring alcohol, take off your clothes, make noise, or bother people. I know you are a Stern fan but we're not out at the bar. You need to be cool. Don't stop them and ask for an autograph or photo. Everytime one of you misbehaves, I get a new rule to follow.
You CAN NOT walk around Sirius. You will be escorted from the upstairs lobby to the studio and back out. Do not take it upon yourself to just walk around & check things out. Nobody is allowed to stop by other shows. DO NOT stop by Ferrall's studio under any circumstances even if you think it's OK. I've been told by management that it's not. If you'd like to be a guest on Ferrall, they need to put you on their guest list.
You may take photos in the studio but please do not take pictures in the halls or lobby.
DO NOT sign the wall.
All plugs must be approved in advance. If you are going to be on the show and you have something to plug, you need to let me know the day before. ANYONE WHO PLUGS A WEBSITE OR BUSINESS WITHOUT PERMISSION WILL NOT BE INVITED BACK. |

I think Howard's hate of SFN needs to be discussed. Howard apparently lurks here from time to time and while he is not afraid of the truth some of you guys go a little too far. There has to be a middle ground somewhere. While SFN can't always be a place to lift Howard's spirit, it should never be a place that would crush his spirit.

| The reason there is backlash among the fans now is because Howard, Robin and even Artie are less likable these days. I think the show is as funny (if not funnier) than it has ever been. But clearly, they have all lost touch with the average fan. They just do not relate to most of the fans because of their money, lifestyle and fame. Howard is only interested in going to the Hamptons, having celebrity friends and playing chess. And Robin... who's more out of touch with the common person that Robin?! For someone with virtually no talent, she has a lot of nerve to have the attitude she does. |

Maybe a one time for one hour. But for something permanent I don't want any half-assed, half-baked wanna-be's on the air. We have enough of those types of shows and they're pretty one sided. Funny to a degree but not for more than an hour. If I can't have Howard on Friday's then I want something as close as they can get. |

My idea was to take a Classic Sirius show from deep into the past two years, lop off the wrap-up show and then do a new SFRT wrap-up with Mutt as host. That would fill 6 hours. And please don't try and tell me you remember every single Sirius show. There are some GEMS we haven't heard in years!
This would be a cost-effective solution that combines Classic Sirius shows and new live fan-based stuff.
