| Yesterday Bubba said they are taking May and June off which made me laugh because that just tells you Cancel Christmas, kitchens closed its over. Bubba use to care about the audience and would never go for that long of a stretch. The other thing is Sirius is already posturing with Jay Thomas and replaying his show on 102 now in Bubbas time slot. Its obvious Jay will be the fill in for BTLS. The question I have is what are the concequences if Bubba just dont show up for work with Sirius? Will he have to pay them I wonder? All I can say is letting Bubba go is comparable to Rick Hendricks letting Kyle Busch go. Dumbest decision Ricks ever made and Sirius is on track with that. But anyway I say Bubba goes out in a blaze of Glory before years end. |

Bubba will not quit Sirius just due to the fact he can use the show to promote Bubbapalooza appearances and Bubba merchandise.
The afternoon show is more/less a free informercial with curse words and a recap of what's on MSNBC or CNN. Regardless, the staff will not want to lose the possible revenue from merchandise sales and ticket sales from the nationwide appearances. |

Dammit, what kinda roundmouth makes the poll question different then the topic question, now I voted wrong because I didn't read first because I read the topic.
As for taking May and June off he was referring to Bubbapalooza, not radio in general. Unless Sirius fires him (and I am sure the contract says they still get paid, so they would be getting free money, similar to Bubba still getting paid when Clear Channel fired him) Bubba is not leaving Sirius until the year is up.
In fact that would probably be a good idea to just say fuck Sirius and go balls out with the shows content until they fire them, that might change what they get from the contract but hell. Go out in a blaze of fire, the first talk radio DJ fired from Sirius. Could add that to his whole "highest fined radio personality" gimmick. |

If I could fix it I would but i cant now. So I thought he was taking 2 months off his show and using all his vacation up or something. But now that you say it was Bubbapalooza that makes sense. Carry on........ |

| Sirus will close shop by the end of the year. That is why Bubba and Howard just don't care anymore. Enjoy what is left and be glad you got 1- 1 1/2 good years of shows. |

Jay has always been in that slot on channel 102. He was with Sirius before Howard and Bubba. |

| So I think no matter what, most of us agree that this will be Bubba's last year on sirius, which is shitty at best but what I am wondering is what the frcuk the rest of us are going to do to be able to hear him still if he's on testicle radio, shit sirius is where I first heard of him up here, so will he do a podcast jones as well so those of us who do not get his cox show can listen in??? |

| It might be his last year, but I really think he will stick the full year out. At least I hope so!! I still like his Sirius show.. |

| He'll be on the the year. Maybe the merger will have gone through by then and Sirius can ante up. |

| I think he will stick it out, maybe now that he can get back to doing an edgier show and provided the merger goes thru, he'll remember what fun uncensored radio can be and try for long-term with Sirius only. |

Dude, listen to the show! They are taking May and June off from Bubbapalooza! Same goes for "wrapping it up" at the end of the year. Bubbapalooza! He never said the show was going away. |

| I think now that Sirius is seeing how great Bubba is and letting him do the show he wants to he will be there for the full year and longer! |

Amazing what happens when the shows host doesn't spend every weekend in the Hamptons |

The only way Bubba leaves Sirius before the end of his contract would be if Sirius fired him ... and judging by Friday's meeting with various Sirius executives, he just got a HUGE injection of support from the top brass ... so even if he happens to leave at the end of the year, we'll at least have the opportunity to hear the sort of show that so many of us fell in love with the first two years of his Sirius life ...
Modern-day timble for the Sirius people that flew to Tampa in support of Bubba ... :bigclap: |

The poll is not really a yes/no question
Anyway, Until todays show I would have said it was a good bet that Bubba will not complete the year.
I'm feeling a lot better about Sirius today. |
