The profound mistake of Reverend Wright's sermons is not that he spoke about racism in our society, it's that he spoke as if our society was static, as if no progress had been made, as if this country, a country that has made it possible for one of his own members to run for the highest office in the land and build a coalition of white and black, Latino, Asian, rich, poor, young and old, is still irrevocably bound to a tragic past.

You only think that cause Bush has hid his scandals quite well and Bill didn't. Did you forget the Democrats slinging Bush's heavy drug use back in college, or his DUI. As I said before, the timing of Barack's speech stinks on ice because of what it was in response to. It was not a honest, unsolicited offering. It was a forced speech in response to his own problems. If he was sincere, we would have heard from him many years ago.

I'm not a Republican and I don't check the RNC website. The source of my question is common sense. Why did Obama have to make a "major speech" on race? The answer is because he was in trouble on race due to his spiritual adviser being exposed as a whitey hating loon.
Soon after the SHTF, Obama bleats out the "major speech." I'm not impressed.
Contrast Obama's victim mentality message with that of Bill Cosby's self-responsibility message and compare who put out their message first, which message will truly help and which is noting more than self-serving bullshit. Obama loses on all counts.
If Obama is so concerned about the state of African Americans, he would reject the globalist agenda he embraces that has decimated manufacturing jobs. Those jobs used to pay good wages to people who didn't go to college. If we had protected our markets and kept those jobs here, some African Americans and well as other lower-income Americans would have benefited. Instead, we get to hear about Obama's fucking Grandmother, as if that's going to solve anything. :rolleyes:
