The Stern Show is live again this week. Will the complainers rejoice? What needs to be covered on this weeks roundtable?

- Is it too soon to celebrate? What kind of celebrations would you like to see? Will we finally get a Vegas trip?
- Will the FCC be a problem? Are they the enemy again?
- The FCC has never not approved a deal that the DoJ OK'd but will it come with restrictions? What can we live with, what's over the line?
- Will the merger bring money into the budget & result in better / more programming?
- Is this good for Bubba & Ferrall? Will there be enough money to keep/make them exclusive to Sirius?
- What will this mean for O&A? If Howard welcomes them with open arms like he did Bubba, will you?
- Does more subscribers necessarily mean more H100 / 101 listeners?
- The Artie, Killers, & Bubba shows have already been selling out huge venues. Should they expect bigger crowds?

RAPID FIRE - NAME ROBIN'S CHARITABLE ORGANIZATION: Girls Night Out is already taken. If she picks a new name, what should she go with?
ARTIE TIRES TO HELP
- Lifebeat has cut association with Artie Lange. Thanks for donating your cupcake money but we can't be associated with a gay basher wishing that people die of Aids anymore. Should anyone be surprised? Should he be upset?
- Should he pick a new charity to help or try to make things right with Lifebeat?
- Artie is entertaining the troops and bringing Nick DePaulo, Collin Quinn, Dave Atel, Jim Florentine, Gary Del'Abate, & Robin Quivers with him. Is this a good thing or too dangerous?
- Ralph feels Gary should stay home becasue they don't really need him & he has kids at home. Would the troops appreciate a visit from BabbaBooey or is he just taking a field trip?
- Why isn't Ralph being as hard on Robin? If Gary is the MC, what could Robin's role be?
- What about T&A? If allowed, why not get some porno chicks out there? Is it appropriate?
HOWARD STERN BOWL-A-RAMA
- Howard says this is Howard TV's first original series. What about the Miss Howard Stern Reality Show?
- Howard is really proud about his new gameshow. Are you excited?
- How is this different than previous sports specials like basketball with strippers or football with trannies?
- What's your favorite HowardTV special (if you don't have it, what's the one you wanted to watch the most)?
SIRIUS GUESTS
- A couple weeks ago people were crying about the caliber of the guests. Now it's been 2 weeks of big names. Did the show hear the fan complaints or is it just the normal cycle of things? Honestly, these guests were probably already booked but still, I'm sure the fans will have an opinion.
- Gary says he prefers D-listers to the A-listers becasue they are more likely to spill dirt. Are the bullshit guests ever more fun than the big namers?
- Were the guests at KROCK better?
- Are shitty D-List guests still good? Are they better than no guests?

CALLING INTO THE SHOW: When calling into the show, there's no need to give shout outs to SFN or your friends on SFN. We don't have a ton of time so please don't waste any of it. We already have topics setup. Please be a good caller and respond to the topics. Thanks 1-888-STERN-101
GETTING ON THE SHOW: Each week I start a roundtable brainstorming thread where the fans help build our topics and a listening thread where people discuss the show while it's happening. if you'd like to do the show, get in there and participate. once you've been around for awhile ask to be on the show and pick a date. there's a schedule posted in every brainstorming thread.
GUESTS OF THE SHOW: The show airs from the Sirius studios in NYC Times Square. It's on the 36th floor of the McGraw Hill building on the corner of 49th & 6th in studio 21. Guests should be there at 6PM so we can do mic checks. The show goes live at 7PM. You can not bring any friends. our studio is very small and there's really no place for them. I'll need your full name in advance and you need to bring your ID for security. If I don't put you on the list and you don't have your ID, you will not be able to get in.
This is an office and you are expected to be on your best behavior. It's not some free for all party. You shouldn't do anything that you would do when stopping by the bank. You cannot bring alcohol, take off your clothes, make noise, or bother people. I know you are a Stern fan but we're not out at the bar. You need to be cool. Don't stop them and ask for an autograph or photo. Everytime one of you misbehaves, I get a new rule to follow.
You CAN NOT walk around Sirius. You will be escorted from the upstairs lobby to the studio and back out. Do not take it upon yourself to just walk around & check things out. Nobody is allowed to stop by other shows. DO NOT stop by Ferrall's studio under any circumstances even if you think it's OK. I've been told by management that it's not. If you'd like to be a guest on Ferrall, they need to put you on their guest list.
You may take photos in the studio but please do not take pictures in the halls or lobby.
DO NOT sign the wall.
All plugs must be approved in advance. If you are going to be on the show and you have something to plug, you need to let me know the day before. ANYONE WHO PLUGS A WEBSITE OR BUSINESS WITHOUT PERMISSION WILL NOT BE INVITED BACK. |

Neither of those are a deal breaker as Mel has already offered them up. But what about being forced to lease channels to a third party or bowing to FCC decency standards (that one is a long shot)?
Other than the fact that FCC action is likely sooner rather than later, we really haven't learned anything new since Mel made the rounds on Capital Hill last summer.
For those of you who may have missed the proposed "channel packages" from last summer, here they are.

Other than the fact that "Yeah, the DoJ approved the merger", I can't think it's worthy of a segment on SFRT. Any discussion about the furture of the channels is pure speculation (not that there's anything wrong with that on a fan show). |

| Mutt, if you talk about O & A can you give a brief summary of the number of stations they currently have on FM radio and what their ratings are? That info is hard to come by, I think Tim Sabean would be able to provide that. Also, you should talk about how they lied that they were one of the top rated stations at XM when in fact they are one of the worst rated shows at XM. |
