Brown had 3.5 phenomenal seasons with the Dodgers. As a Yank, he was finished.
Zito has lost velocity and movement on his fastball. Is it age? Cumulative injury? Lack of drugs? Indifference because he's worth over $100mil?
It doesn't really matter, he's finished as well. |

| Zito is a joke albiet a rich joke. He is garbage and Boras found the biggest suckers in the world in the Giants who believed this over rated chump was among the best of all time. Best part is because of how bad he sucks they are totally stuck with his inflated contract and the 7 ERA he is likely to put up the rest of the contract. Fuck Zito and Fuck the Giants. They both suck and belong together. |

Mulder has probably been a bigger bust for St. Louis. Of the "big three" from Oakland, Hudson is the only one who's been any good and even he isn't nearly as dominant as he was with Oakland. Billy Beane seems to really know when it's time to trade or let their best pitchers go via free agency. Let's see how Haren does with Arizona from here on out.
The Giants were certainly dumb to pay Zito as a #1 guy but they haven't put any sort of team around him either. They are, quite simply, the worst team in MLB. I think Zito probably could help a team down the stretch but it'll be tough for the Giants to unload him with that contract. It's an ugly situation for all involved. |
