jordan, wilt, kareem, kobe, lebron? if you had to start a team, who would you take as your first pick?

jordan? are you guys shitting me? yeah he was a great player but chamberlain controlled the entire game...he averaged 23 boards a game for his entire career...his only weakness was free throws...if he could shoot a free throw he would have averaged 40pts a game for his career

Hey Now...all great choices but I'm an old school Celtic fan so I gotta go with Larry Bird.

KG doesn't hold a candle to any of these guys mentioned.

I'd take Jordan, he won championships without a dominant inside presence.

Wilt is amazing, but could he do the same stuff in today's game?

True, but then Bill Russell owned his ass.

That's great BUT he only won 2 Championships, the goal is to win Championships when building a team. I'd start it w/ Jordan and build around him. Jordan could do so many things that it would be easier to build a team around him than Wilt.
ryandg811
i think hands down it would be jordan. great work ethic, tenacity, killer instinct, and the utmost ability to make the other 4 around him better ballplayers.

If you are going on championships than Bill Russell wins hands down. 11 rings in 13 years!
And don't forget his 2 NCAA Championships.

I wouldn't argue w/ someone taking Russell first, Russell is a winner and the goal is to win.

Me too but I think even Larry would pick Jordan. When he was on the Bulls, they were a dynasty. When he left, the Bulls fell off the face of the earth. He would have won on any team.

easily it would be magic, he could and did play every position on the court, lest we forget when in game 6 (i believe it was game 6 maybe 7) he played center when kareem was hurt and scored 42 points to lead them to the title.
