ROCHESTER, N.Y., Apr 01, 2008 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- While there may not yet be a Democratic nominee, the Republican Party and Senator John McCain should not rest easy. Whether the final nominee is Senator Hillary Clinton or Senator Barack Obama, if the election were held today, the Democrats are ahead in the race for the White House. Just about two in five (39%) of registered voters would vote for Hillary Clinton while 35 percent of registered voters say they would vote for John McCain. If Barack Obama was the nominee, two in five (40%) registered voters would vote for him while 35 percent would vote for John McCain. For each of these pairings, 15 percent of registered voters say they would not vote for either of these candidates.

Any news that comes out of Fox is attached to an agenda. Every other poll you look at or story you hear is how McCain is either ahead or tied at this point in the campaigns. It seems clear to me that this Fox "Story" is about rallying the republicans to get behind McCain.
