The shit that happens at your parade (what has there been, one this century thus far?) doesn't get reported because the rioting and crime that occurs is commonplace for NY, everyday news. Take a look at your Puerto-Rican Day parade and report back to me how many rapes were reported.

1986 Mets and Giants parade----no major incidents....
1990 Giants parade----no major incidents....
1994 Rangers parade NOT 1 SERIOUS incident,
Every Yankees parade...uh last I checked there were 4, no major incidents, and lastly,
THIS YEARS GIANTS parade....Once again, no major incidents.

Mets fans are laid back, and nicer at the games.
But when the Yankees are PLAYING the Mets, the Mets fans become TOTAL assholes!
They become even MORE aggressive than Yankees fans NORMALLY are!!!
It is like having a calm sibling and a crazy sibling, but when you get the 2 together the "calm" ones behavior makes the crazy one look reasonable.
You also see Mets fans get rowdy when the Mets get bad calls by umpiring.
The ONLY teams that come even close to getting SO many bad calls are the Cubs and Yankees.
I mean SERIOUSLY why does Angel Hernandez still have a job? |

| Mets fans dont have to fall back on the past like Yankee fans when they cant come up with reasons why they they cant get out of the first round. granted we dont have 26 rings to go on about, but thats the arguement they always go to. the "oh well it doesnt matter we have 26 rings" arguement is so tired and lame, im not saying this goes for all yankee fans,if anything this applies to those fans that jumped on the bandwagon during their WS streak. |

OH REALLY? How about the Yanks making the playoffs 12 straight years, SMOKING the Mets in the WS, beating them head to head in inter-league play and the fact that, sure, the Yanks lost in the 1st round last season, BUT, they didn't blow the biggest NL lead in history like the Mets did to miss the playoffs last season. Yankee fans have a right to feel they are 1st class and the Mets 2nd class, that is jsut the way it is. |

they havent done jack shit in years to prove it. your talking about 1 horrible season ender which i agree was fucking terrible, Jose Reyes didnt even get halfway down the baseline after a ground ball like he just stopped giving a fuck. maybe we just see things differently, like any sport lets say football, the whole purpose of the season is to win the super bowl right? or baseball the whole purpose is to win the world series, you think anyone cares about your record or stats at the end of the season? given the Yankees talent and payroll they should be able to do better than that. last season was humilation for the Mets, but thats once after holding the lead all season while the yankees were what 15 and a half games behind in may. like always the Yankees make impressive comebacks ill give them that but its always too little too late. the Yankees have done consistantly bad for the past few years and THATS just the way it is. |

I admit the Yanks have not WON it all the past few years, but they have won more and made the playoffs more then the Mets. Yanks have the highest payroll in the AL, Mets in the NL. Fact is, as bad as you claim the Yanks have been as of late, they are still better then the Mets. |

From my experience of my friends either being Mets fans or Yankees fans most of the Mets fan can shit back to you and have more knowledge of the game while most Yankee fans make up shit and their only comeback is the 20 something titles they won when they were only alive for probably 5.

Unless you're trying to re-write history, I remember the Arizona Diamondback winning the World Series in 2001. And the New England Patriots winning the 2001 Super Bowl. Unless you're trying to refer to the Giants getting blown out in the 2000 Super Bowl that was played on 1/28/01. Unless I'm missing something, there was no parade in New York for either of those two losses.

I was in the line for the bathroom at Yankees Stadium on 4/5. A dude with a Mets shirt was in there and some drunk ass Yankee fan started berating him.
