Rush Has AIDS
Have to say I was very surprised by this
Reverend Tyler
Why does it matter? He did speak about it
JTProcess
He has said he feels uncomfortable with comparisons to MLK and JFK... So it's a classy move not to play it up TOO much.
Rush Has AIDS
But all the other candidates were there. Even McCain to take his rain of boos from the crowd.

He could have been there and toned it down. They were honoring MLK, not him. I'm sure MLK was an influence for him.

Cmon. If Hillary didn't show, the Obama fanatics would be up in arms
Salvaje*Gato
The funniest thing was watching John McCain getting booed by the Memphis crowd, for saying he voted against the MLK holiday. :D

Hillary came across looking phony as hell, with all her sniffling and tearing up.

At least he is a man of honor and stood in front of a crowd and admitted that many years ago he made the mistake of having done so.

Quite a contrast to Obama's number of piss poor excuses of why he sat in the pews of Trinity United for 20 years listening to racist and anti-American vitriol.

Did you just do what you same to hate most...DEFLECT?

Yes, we know how you feel. Racism is only important or only matters if it is supposedly being perpetrated a big, scary black Rev.

I believe he gave a speech where Robert Kennedy did the night King was assasinated.
It was because of Kennedy that the city was calm, while the rest of the country was in turmoil.
IMHO, it was a much more symbolic message to be there, since Kennedy was also an agent for change in his day, and he was able to bridge the racial divide that plagued and continues to harm our country.
In a way, Obama like Kennedy, is the result of King's work.

In the scheme of things, this is really a moot point, just like the Wright flap. It's pretty pathetic that the Obama haters STILL desperately cling to the Rev.

If you look at the approval rating for Congress, its pathetically low. McSame is a creature of the Senate, having worked there for decades. Of the 3, Obama is the least tainted by DC, and that's why he will do the best among ALL Americans.

posting from my Treo at the airport. chat witcha tomorrow.

Oh, I forgot, you're a meaningless shill who can't make a decent argument if your life depended on it.

Yeah, by having the least time in the US Senate, Obama is "less tainted" by default. Obama spent 8 years running with such upstanding citizens such as William Ayers and Tony Rezko in that model of ethics, Chicago politics.

No. Someone brought up McCain getting booed - I responded with the facts - he admitted he made a mistake, which is far more than Obama has done with the Trinity United fiasco.

And yes, I understand that all racism is bad. By downplaying his pastor's racist vitriol, you are doing exactly what you are accusing me of.

His sermons are taped every weekend. If there have been "20 years" of "racist and anti-American vitriol", you'd think they'd be able to put together more than 30 seconds of largely factually correct and logical argument by the reverend as example.

I guess you are just a LIAR.

salafibrigades
Yeah he brought his message of change to my town fort wayne.
zimmie
Ah yes...Fort Wayne, the birthplace of the civil rights movement.

Obama's change is going to be like an alcoholic switching from Budweiser to Miller.
