It will let you switch thru the channels, and it will say "Howard 100" when you try and push the button to go to that station it will not connect, it stays on the menu prompt...This goes for all channels...Any tips ? Does it need to be reset or something ? If so, How do I go about this ?

This has been happening with a lot of the SL2s since a recent update. It's frustrating, but it can be fixed fairly easily. Here are two links to PDFs that will help you reset the device, and it should fix the issue.
BTW, my SL2 has this same issue. It still records Howard and Bubba fine, so I won't do the reset until I catch up on all the shows while they are on vacation. That way I will be caught up prior to losing the stored content.
You will need to do the device recovery by clicking this link.
