| Howard talked about doing an afternoon show and Artie was all for it. Since Bubba is the regular Howard 101 afternoon show, what if Artie joined the show? He could still do just the 4 day, 3-7 show and take Friday off. I know I am reaching, but being one of the new Stern fans, I like Artie and would like him to continue to be on the air. |

| I think Artie is set financially, but he does need a change of scenery for a while. I'm with ya, Artie is great, I don't think Howards show would be near as good without Artie. He is 10 times better than Jackie was. |

| Doesn't Artie live in the NY/NJ area? He wouldn't be good ISP from his house. I don't think this would work. |

This would be good, but the finances make it impossible.
This would be good, but Artie's pride would never allow it.

But let's say it wasn't impossible. It's actually a fascinating question. For the sake of budget and room to speak you would need to kick someone off the island. Manson is untouchable, so it is either Brent or Spiceboy gone. With the current show I think spice is the most expendable of the 'big 3'. But with Artie involved I think Brent becomes the one with the least chemistry to what the show would become.
Artie for sure would think all the swinging stuff is "society won't let me admit I'm a fag", or "I'm too much of a wuss to leave my cheating wife". It wouldn't take too long for that to get 'crowbarred out of him' , and from there the relationship with Brent would head south fast. |

Everybody wanting to keep Artie brings up some good points, but I could see Artie using his ISDN line to do Bubba's show and meet his contract requirements. He could be on at certain times to keep fans happy and to do his plugs. |

If Artie's going to ISDN line in to a show, then he might as well just ISDN into the Stern show.
If the fear is that he'll physically attack someone, then not having him in the studio would be a perfect way to keep him with the Stern show. |

| God no. Why ruin Bubbas show. The chemisty in that studio is as good as it is because all of those guys are really friends that want to be together. The last thing they need is an obese lazy clockpuncher with his fat head stuck so far up his even fatter ass. The First time Bubba lets out a "SHUT THE FUCK UP ARTIE YOU ASSHOLE" like he does with his guys the oversensitive baby gorilla would go into one of his infant feelings hurt modes and drink himself into oblivion blaming everyone but himself. |

| I like Artie on Bubba sporadically, I wouldn't be a fan of everyday, and hell, Artie would probably 'get sick' or something anyways |

What if monkeys had wings and flew out of people's assholes?
What if Tim Sylvia knocked out Fedor?
What if Riley Martin was signed to a multi-year, multi million dollar deal because Artie quit? |

| Howard could send Artie to Bubba men camp in Tampa for a few week! lollll Never gonna happen but damn it would make for a great radio event. With Howard 100 news following it, Howard Tv making a bunch of special on it and Bubba Raw could even get on the action! And I see a brand new T-Shirt coming down the pipeline too. It would be a great way to clear this mess but "So Hard Done By" is right pride would get in the way at one point. |

| I heard Bubba always telling Jeff The Drunk to get permission to call in. Bubba is very old school in this repect. He won't crap on Howard. |

This thread probably should've ended with this post ...
Artie is funny as a GUEST on Bubba ... having him in-studio as a regular member of the crew, even on a short-term basis, is bad on so many levels ... Artie is a man's man that happens to have an awful lot of personal issues that he really needs to address and resolve ... a change of scenery is definitely in order, but I just don't see joining Bubba's crew as that necessary change ... Artie is in a major downward spiral that is either gonna leave him laying flat on his back with nowhere to look but up or gonna ultimately end up being his death knell ... people are so willing to help the man, but what everyone has failed to realize and accept is that you can't help a person that is not willing to help himself ... I sincerely hope he finally swallows his pride and gets the help he so desperately needs ... he's crying for help, but he's afraid that he'll become pussified, and that's something his pride will not allow ... |

If Artie gets let go its bc of Siri so how the fuck would he go to BTLS

| I think it was Thursday's show but someone called in and asked if Bubba would hire Artie, and Bubba said he would never do that to Howard. That even is Artie was fired he would not hire him.. |

The whole BTLS show gets about 1/2 of Artie's salary ... its not a remote possibility Bubba could do anything.
Also the NY Post reported its now in Sirius hands so again if Siri lets him go ... ... ;) |

| Not going to happen. Even if it could, wrong chemistry. I think they probably have the best in-studio lineup going for them right now. |

They guys they have are a great group, someone coming from the outside would mess it up. |

Artie sucks.
Good riddance........
He's funnier asleep, then when making his dumbass comments during one of Howard's interviews. |

SHITTTTTTTY idea
if he wants to work from home then isdn the stern show |
|
|
| brian1269 |
| That is a ridiculous idea. I doubt Artie would do it for one. And how would they pay him? Fire everyone else on the staff? No way Artie would move to Tampa either. He needs to receive a month or so suspension from the show, get some help, and then return to the Stern show. |
|
|
| RexBanner |
This is one of the most ridiculous threads I've read. First of all, Artie works so well on Howard because he's way different than everyone else in the studio. It shocks and entertains Howard that he could live that kind of lifestyle. The contrast in their personal lives works well. With Bubba and his crew, Artie would mesh in too well with those guys. He's way to similar to crazy bastards on that show.
Second of all, Howard would NEVER let that happen. He wants Artie, needs Artie, and will have Artie back. If not next Monday, in a month or two. |
