I recently purchased a Sirius Stiletto 2 and love it except for the following. Some of the shows I have set-up to record just stop recording at any given time.
Example.
I have two shows set to record Mon-Fri.
Howard Stern (w coast feed) 8am-1pm.
Bubba 2pm-6pm.
CST
Today I checked my recordings and Howard recorded the full 5 hours but Bubba only recorded for just over an hour. This has been happening a lot. I rarely get the full show(s). Somedays I will get 36 minutes and some Ill get 4 hours. It just randomly stops recording.
What the hell is the problem?
Oh, and the weather was clear today so no problems with the sat signal.
Sirius customer service was useless. The guy flat out told me he didnt know much about the stiletto 2 and then eventually hung up on me. What a joke.

When you set up your recordings how many is it set to record? I set mine to record the exact same stuff plus SFRT.
I set them to save 5 Bubba Shows and 5 Stern shows. That way it never fills itself up too much on the flash memory. I also turn off the Radio Replay feature since that adds more onto the device.
A lot of times issues will start occurring when the device is set to record and save too much. In other words the Stiletto is told to record more than it can hold, and then it will miss shows. |

First off, thanks for answering. I actually tried calling you (TSS) last night but then I realized, it was 7:01pm. Just missed you!
Anyway, I only have my stiletto setup to save 3 of each shows. And I am only using 9% of the memory. I have an extra memory card installed as well. So I don't think it is a memory problem.
If the unit drops the sat. signal would that stop a recording? Sometimes I only have 1 bar and maybe the signal is dropping completely at some point?
I don't know! I love the stiletto 2 but this is really annoying. Nothing sucks more then turning on Howard's show only to have 1:13 recorded. Or whatever random amount recorded that day.
Thanks for your help. Any further info/advice would be greatly appreciated! |

| Its possible you are losing signal in the afternoon, based on where the satellites are, but I don't think that is the root of this issue. I know that there was a Stiletto 2 update and some things changed on them. I don't know why Stern records and Bubba doesn't, that makes no sense. |

Today, Stern recorded for only 20 minutes and Bubba recorded for the full 4 hours.
Hmmmm. I did put the antenna up on my roof and now have full signal strength. And I was moving the antenna around at about 8:15-8:20 am so I wonder if I lost the signal around then?
Tomorrow will be the real test.
