| Holy SHIT does that show suck. I have tuned in a couple of times over the past couple of months and they're always talking about the most boring shit. A week or two ago it was a long Dee Snider rant about his son on some stupid ass reality show and some dumb bim that kept agreeing with how shafted the kid got. They never seem to talk about Horror and when they do half the time one or both hasn't even seen the fucking movie they're discussing. What gives with this fucking show? Can't they get someone that actually wants to talk about the topic? |

I caught this show a couple of times. Neither time was it about horror. It was a HSS junior. One of the shows I heard had Ralph on with Dee, and was mildly entertaining (in a Jay Thomas sort of way).
I think part of the problem with non-HSS shows is that Howard has the bar set impossibly high, and no show, regardless of topic, can even come close to it. That's how I feel about what I heard of Dee's show: it's not horrible, he tries to be topical, but it's SO far away from the HSS, I'm just not interested. |

See to me here is the problem. I want to listen to a show about the Horror genre. I don't want to hear Howard Stern Light. You're right nobody can compare to the King so don't fucking try. Just do a great Horror show. That way when I want to listen to Howard I will and once a week when I feel like listening to some bullshit about zombie movies etc. I'll tune in Fangoria radio and get my fill.
Fangoria is on Friday nights 10-whenever I get sick and tired of hearing about Dee's kid. |
