hello i found out about this update for s50 users that has to done soon i guess.
is this a definite thing that MUST be done? i lost my usb cable |

| I tried to figure it out on mine tonight, to know luck the software has never seemed to work with my old computer and now my new laptop. I think I will have to do phone call willy and deal with some foreigner on the phone since I never can figure any of that shit out with out usually making a call or two. |

I know you can't use the my Sirius studio with Vista. I'm down to one computer that only has XP on it.
I was having serious issues with the signal not picking up, so I'm wondering if the update had to do something with that. Like making all radios closer in frequency range with that of XM because of the pending merger.
I did buy another antennae because I thought there was an issue with that as well. Now it looks like I can return it and save some money. |

| The audio in my S50 started dropping out yesterday (full signal strength)...I did the firmware update and all is fixed. |

What sux is that if you happen to own a MAC you can't do the update. I don't own a PC. WTF? So I'm just SOL if I don't have a PC? That doesn't seem right. You would think that they would have something MAC users can use as well in this day and age.
I called and asked about this and was told maybe I could take my USB cable into the library and use a PC there, haha.
My mac cost close to 2k and I can't manage an S-50 update? This blows. :mad: |

I haven't updated my S50 yet. About a week ago it stopped letting me pause and rewind etc.
Pretty lame. |
