I love it. I wish more of his "fuckhead" fans would embrace Bubba or at least not be dicks to him. I love both shows so I always enjoy these calls. |

The majority of Howards fans are not dicks to Bubba & I'd bet Bubba would be the first to say that
Also most of Bubba's fans on 101 came from Howard so I don't get where you going with your post.
The fact Bubba has as many Stern fans as he does is a great testament to the show |

You can't expect a portion of Stern fans not to "shit" on Bubba ... they are different type shows
Bubba has a % that shit on Howard too but its not as loud bc Howards fans base is a lot bigger
I'd bet the same % for both shows
Howard NEVER branded another show before & again to expect a higher number of crossover is unrealistic
Bubba knows he fit in about as perfect as possible as Howards second & BTLS fans should too ... of course a few load Stern only fans will open their mouths |

If the ratings are true, Howard has a bigger fan base for sure but it seems around 60% of the people who listen to Howard, also listen to Bubba which is truely amazing given he was off for two years and came into a mostly hostile and loyal group of listeners. Either many Howard fans are also listening to Bubba or Bubba is bringing in large numbers of his own fans. |

Where do you get those numbers of 60% listen to both?
TThe only published numbers had 1.2m for 100 (All Howard) & 500k for 101 (Howard & Bubba) & those numbers are way low as well obviously
Don't forget the West Coast Replay is HUGE |

I remember seeing about 1 mil for Howard on 100. I believe you are right about the all day total for 101 and yes the west coast feed is big. Bubba was talking on the eh eh show about having 600,000 on his sat show. I can't remember the term he used now but i'm pretty sure it was an average of his quarter hour breakdowns. Either way that's very big given the size of Sirius and Bubba being on afternoon drive. |

Thats actually a SFN Bubba hater talking point and not really true. When they send out the ratings questionaires they also have times in them. They know the difference between the audience between 6-12 and after noon. If I remember correctly the results of the last overall book involving satellite were based on the avearge amount of listeners all day and it went
1. H100 which is monstous in the morning and even though it tapers down consistently as the day goes on its so high in the morning it keeps the average up for the entire 24 hour period
2. H101 which takes the average of high ratings like Howard and Bubba and gets its number knocked in the dirt by all the crap thats on at 7:00. I like Ferrell and listen to him on the way home every day but I really dont think he has a very big audience. I have never had to call more than twice in a row to get thru. And I cant imagine anyone is listening to Zito or the Interns.
3-9 All XM music channels
10 Siruis New Country Channel 60
There's other ways they can measure how many people are listening. I think measuring the streaming has become a pretty big indication of audience size. Plus I think they also use the same kind of pinging system that the vote for the worst site used to measure how many 12 yer old girls and homos called into vote for American Idol. It has something to do with a computer calling over and over faster than humanly possible and seeing how many time it gets thru. Thats the only reason they keep Riley around. Id bet even at midnight he has the highest rated of the hourly shows for the "fuck with him factor" alone
(attn tin foil hat wearers. They can not tell what channel your individual radio is on. Your radio does not have a transmitter) |

I wish they could release a more detailed breakdown. I'd love to see the effect the 7:00 programming has on the numbers. A few Bubba fans tell me they usually just shut the radio off at 7:00. |

I don't have time to break it all down now but Sirius hits 1 has a cume of 653200 in the last published ratings. Sirius New Country did well coming in at 455900. |

Im sure its a lot more than a few. Hell, even though he lies and says he does Howard doesnt even listen to that crap. The only reason those shows are on is because they are free to produce. The Interns, SFRT, Zito, John the Stutterer Etc all work for pizza and plugs. I'd be willing to bet that if Jackie even gets paid he doesnt make more than Riley. Jackies there for the promo and plugs.
And Stewarts not going anywhere next year. He's under contract until the year after. I don't see JGR just giving up on the last year of his contract and lose all that money just to be nice. And Tony's not dumb enough to race for an organization as far behind the curve as Hass/C&C just so he can go back to driving a Chevy. That would be like leaving the Yankees or Red Sox to play for the Nationals because you like thier uniforms better. The biggest problem JGR had with Chevy is they were always going to be number 2 behind Hendrick in the pecking order. There's no way he leaves the Toyota penthouse for the ground floor 1 bedroom Chevy apt that is Haas racing. |

You are wrong, it was clearly stated by Arbitron that the numbers were for a WEEK & not the average quarter hour
Also Arbitron NEVER released any dayparts for SATRAD
I'm not saying you lied but you are incorrect on your memory

Actually he's not that wrong. There does seem to be a more defined breakdown of the ratings for satrad...but they may not have been publicly released…just sayin…

Physics say that if you are running the top, it is a lot longer way around....so you have to carry more speed to keep up with the cars on the bottom that are taking the shorter way around. Physics also say, you have to hit the bottom at just the right speed to stay on the bottom and not drift up the track.
A slidejob is when you're right on a car down the chute, and he takes the high side. You head for the bottom, but instead of lifting to stay there.......you keep the gas pedal smashed to the floor and let the momentum take you straight up the track sliding broadside, in front of the car that took the high side. Once you start one, you're pretty much committed to it. Touch the brakes and you're going up the track backwards. It's fun as hell, but at the same time pretty scary. As soon as you dive to the bottom, you can no longer see the car you're sliding on. No spotters, no mirrors, and head supports blocking any view to the right. Hope you got a good enough run into the corner to clear them, because if not your car is a big wrecking ball. It's exciting to watch, but a ton of things can go wrong too (door slam the guy, jump the cushion, etc). MANY of fights have been caused due to this over the years. I've done some great ones before, and I've also blasted plenty of people in the door doing it too. I've recieved plenty of each variety myself. Eldora is so fast, and with the high banking.....its an excellent track for this. Jack Hewitt, Jac Haudenschild, and Slammin' Sammy Swindell are famous for their eldora sliders.
Bubba was lighting up some cheating chick on the show one day, and he told her "you just put a modern day slidejob on him"........so I picked this name. :) |
