Last Friday, on the morning show, I think he kinda hinted about some form of free Bubbapalooza... Now I dunno this to be for sure of course, and everyone on the board refused to talk about it when I brought it up... He said he would talk about it more on Sirius, but I did not hear anything about it. So I dunno, here is a clip of the show, take from it what you will as I have.

He did say that and he also said that he has syndication rights as of Jan. 1.
Bubba is already gone from Sirius, unfortunately. Anyone notice more rehashed Ned/Manson bits on the intro's? I listen to the show on the Stiletto and the Bubba the Love Sponge show averages approximately 38-40 minutes of new content per hour. When they first signed it was at least 48. They are mailing it in because Bubba will make a shitload of money in syndication with the ratings he is getting on free radio.

This topic got a bit sidetracked, but I dont think Bubba is 100% gone from Sirius, he seems pretty into it again. BUT if I was a betting man, if he does return to Sirius, it will probably be a simulcast of the morning show or re-airing of the morning show or something.
But I am prolly wrong, nobody can trully get in Bubba's head, but I think if Sirius shows him some respect like I think they are now, he will be back next year. |

I can't see Howard and Tim putting on a terrestrial radio show on the channels, but maybe on another channel. Although I still have confidence that Bubba may be back on 101 next year, maybe even exclusively. |

| In case anyone missed it, the whole Sirius thing is solely a function of the FCC's approval. Sirius now wants to keep Bizubba and has a right to buy out the Cox deal, but Sirius has been low-keying Bubba until the whole merger is approved. I'll bet you that Bubba will re-up with Sirius exclusively within a few months of the merger being approved, but that the buyout of the Cox deal will permit him to keep doing the Cox broadcasts until year end so Cox can justify the advertising they've spent on it. |
