| I'd like to see the episodes rotated more frequently. Howard says that they are and I've had HTV since it was available on cablevision. The same episodes are constantly being put up. Theres usually about 5 of the same episodes thats are in different categories. And more more more E shows. I know you guys have plenty of them. |

Okay I realize this doesn't necessarily fit perfectly into this particular topic, but I'm not allowed to create new threads, and this was the closest one I could find to what I wanted to say.
I'm just basically going to paste here the text of what I just printed out a few minutes ago (before I found out I couldn't make a new thread, thank god I copied it before I submitted):
This totally cracks me up. And to think of how much Teddy was getting made fun of for not having the foresight to write down Artie's passport info for quick easy future reference.
Well they've got the British pornstar Roxy Jezel in the studio to play the Mexican Delivery Guy Game, and she practically brings it to a screeching hault when she refuses to go further than taking off her top.
Gee BabaBooey, don't you think it might've been useful to, oh, I don't know, maybe when you have her on the phone doing the official booking (or at the very least in the green room before the segment begins) to be well established of how far she was willing to go for showing nudity, as in BEFORE you're right in the middle of the segment?? I mean seriously! LOL
I don't know, I guess maybe chalk it up to the male mentality that if a chick's a pornstar, it's just assumed that she'll always get totally naked no matter where she is or what situation she's in. And I don't blame a girl at all for wanting to draw a particular line when she's outside the realm of actually shooting a porn scene. I actually felt kinda bad for the girl, because watching the segment, it was pretty obvious she then felt really awkward going forth, after Howard's trying to guilt her saying her whole reputation is at stake here.
See what she's willing to do before you get her sitting on the couch, ya dopes! :P |

| Why are you only asking for New Yorkers' opinions? |

Not sure if you're still soliciting opinions, but I recently cancelled HTV. I found I hardly ever watched it and felt that getting a $200 monthly TimeWarner bill was just ridiculous and HTV was the first thing (and only thing so far) to go.
I'm a long time Howard listener and live in NYC. I go back to the early WNBC days. I watched the Ch 9 shows (still have most of them on tape), and watched the E! show pretty often. I listen to Howard almost every day. Mostly via the internet from work.
Here are my issues about HTV:
*Content: content is OK but some of it seems forced and gratuitous. There's more stuff to choose from but a lot of it isn't that great. There's very little I consider "must see". Although the Richard Christy Drum show was one, and I went through the pain of finding it via usenet just to see it. (sorry, I don't do this often).
*Redundancy: When on terrestrial radio, there were no replays. If you missed something you missed it and the E! show was a mechanism to catch up. It meant that often the E! shows were bits you never heard before. Now with Sirius replays, HTV is just a way to see what you probably already heard which isn't all that compelling.
As for giving you an image of what happened in the studio, if I want to see, for example, whether a certain girl was hot, I now have the options to look for pics on Howard's website, this website, or google the name. With all that existing, seeing the HTV show is less valuable in being able to envision the show.
*Price: between the radio subscription and the HTV cost, and my above comments, HTV just stopped making sense. I don't need to spend > $25/month for Howard. That's just excessive. (I get more entertainment from this site and would rather donate a few dollars to Mutt instead.)
*Suggestions: sell the shows on itunes or provide more pricing options via Cable. I'd pay $.99 for that Richard Christy show. I might pay more for other shows. I could see spending ~30$ over the course of a year for HTV. Lower the prices and you will have more subscribers. I'd even watch if you added some commercials but had some free or subsidized content.
Just my 2 cents. Feel free to PM me. |
