I think he got pretty pissed off when the Artie thing went down and seen some of the assholes posting negative threads about Artie. He tore into SFN pretty good on here and a little last week on MM. It seemed like he was done with SFN, not sure if permanently or temporary. :dontknow: |

I HATE to say it but I just can't into this MISERABLE MEN show, just not feeling it. I'm STILL not sure what the premise is or the hook or what topics they take on or why I need that particular mix taking on whatever topics??? They're "Miserable Men" but yet they're all kind of single and have all the freedoms to go with it, it doesn't jibe, it's an oxymoron.
I've tried to listen, honestly I have, but I just don't enjoy Shuli or Bob Levy in SHORT doses (Mike Morse seems to okay) let alone a full two hours. Maybe a Craig Gass and/or and Evil Dave could kick it in the ass to make it listenable????
It's also fucking crazy this self indulgent clusterfuck get 2 hours and the SFRT is only 1 (or Fitzsimmons). Jews TRULY do control the media!!! ;) |

I'm not necessarily doubting you but WHY is it great? It had Florentine (another single guy having a QUIVERS A LIFE) on and he had a gag order from the Quiv so now even he's gone. The half dozen or so times I've listened just seemed like Levy/Shuli trying too hard to say PI things with forced JEWtosterone. YEAH, and at some point you have to be honest with yourself and say "MAYBE my comedy just isn't resonating with the audience, maybe I'm better off beHIND the scenes as a writer. My presentation just isn't a commodity to the masses and it's time to change career paths even if it's as a writer.!"
Like I think Shuli definitely has better comedic wit than a fucking Benjy (AND is more likeable) and would make MUCH more sense to me as a writer for Howard and Artie than that big fat dumpy carcass benjy ever would. |

That's the thing I DO NOT remotely hate Shuli or Levy (I DO hate Benjy though), they both seem like nice enough guys. IN FACT, I commend them both for being so fan friendly. From what I understand on these Hack-Pack shows both Shuli and Levy mightily covort with fans as long as they're there. Whereas Sal and Richard arrogantly throw smoke pellets down and retreat to the back rooms and tea bag each other to ICED EARTH blowing off the paying fans in the heartland.

It isn't enough to WANT to be a great comedian (or host) OR even have the material. The people have to want you and you have to have "it" and deliver IT to welcoming paying arms that paid to see YOUa category which Shuli doesn't seem to be in (Levy has sold some shows out I understand). |

I saw them both last night and they were great. They took a potentially bad situation and turned it into a great night. How? They are fucking accomplished comedians not just joke writers

I think it just started that I expressed that I both can't figure out the premise of the show (was even contemplating giving it another shot if I could figure out their hook), and couldn't get into it as a result. So I asked what and why and no one gave me a straight answer so it snowballed into this perfect storm we have now. |

It's called an opinion. You have yours and I have mine. That's what a message board is all about. I am not oppressing your freedom to speak in a favorable way towards any of these guys. I actually really enjoy Levy and his comedy, but I think Shuli ruins every show he has been on. Secondly, I didn't come in here to solely bash Shuli. HOW am I "shitting up" your precious circle jerk of a thread I merely want to know the basic gist of this show, and what I can look for as a listener? Is that too much to ask? See, you have no answer to even simply state what the format is to export any motivation for the novice to listen or even call in.
Your "It's entertainment" sales pitch isn't getting the likes me to bite. "It's entertainment just ain't good enough for me and several others I bet. Just simply tell me what the theme(s) of the show is that's all I ask, maybe I'll give it another shot??? |
