Funny.
After 8 years of any administration, candidates have to "distance" themselves to a certain degree because people, by nature, want things shaken up a bit. Gore had to "distance" himself from Clinton, even though Democrats thought that Clinton was a great president.
On the big issues - the War on Terror, taxes and the economy - McCain agrees with Bush (or vice-versa). |

1. mccain criticized bushs war strategy from 04 to 07
2. mccain voted against both bush tax cuts.
3. bush wanted the stimulus package, wheres mccain says the ecomony will fix itself.
gore distanced himself from clinton because bill fucked an intern and lied about it.
not because of his policys.

McCain is different in many ways from where Bush is in comparison to Clinton-Gore - that is true. However Gore did criticize Clinton for not securing Social Security, for example (remember the "lock box" shit).
Personally, McCain is far from who I would want to be voting for, but in the end I'll be voting against Clinton/Obama's Socialist agenda. McCain is many things, but he is not a Socialist like these two are. |

what president spent more money on social programs then any in the history of the US?
answer: george bush. so wouldnt that make him the biggest socialist ever?
so always pinning the socials label only on dems seems silly to me. this isnt 1994 anymore.
im aware that mccain is proposing to spend less, but so did bush when he campaigned.
also why didnt mccain rebel against the record spending while he was in the senate?
PS i dont think mccain is a bad guy. i even voted for him in 2000 |
