It's a simple solution dude... you can bend Mutt's ear more easily than I can, but put an IP registry limit on this site and I think there would a lot fewer problems. |

Is it advertising hits? More members, be they legit or not = more hits for site = higher advertising rates??

But then you run into situations with some people like myself. I have so many IP addresses that appear on my account because of my job. Setting a limit like that would end up blocking quite a few innocent users. Ivan is vaguely familiar with me (which is to say, he's seen a few of my posts here and there), but HeatherWiz, Miller, and Jaeger are quite familiar with me and can pretty much vouch that I don't use mults (even though I know that there have been others that have used the same IP as me at some point because of public WiFi access). So as Ivan said, there's pros and cons. |
