This is my review that I posted in Mutt's thread. I figured I give it its own thread and answer questions here.

Here is a link for Mutt's Stiletto 2 thread: http://www.sternfannetwork.com/foru...15&pagenumber=1

The Stiletto 2 will work marvelously if you live near a repeater. You can check if you are within one by looking at the antenna aiming screen of your radio. If your "terrestrial" signal is CONSTANTLY over 50% then you are within one. If that is the case for you, you can stick your Stiletto in your pocket with regular headphones and you will get a good reception. If that is not the case you will have to use the antenna headphones that come with it. The antenna headphones that come with the Stiletto 2 are a great improvement from the Antenna headphones that came with the Stiletto 100. They are much more comfortable, the signal reception is great but you will still look geeky wearing them. At least I do, but then again I look geeky without them too. So having a repeater nearby or not is something that should weigh in your decision.

Something else you should consider is the Stiletto Wifi connection capabilities. If you go indoors and there is Wifi available, the Stiletto 2 will work great. They improved it from the Stiletto 100 in that it can connect to both wiireless B and G signals. So now pretty much where there is wifi available you can pick up the Sirius stream. If you have a good wireless g router in your house you will be able to pick up the stream in your backyard and even across the street. The same thing will be if you have Wifi available at work.

If you do decide to get it, I highly suggest getting it with at least one of the docks. Yes is more money but is worth it. I have it with the home dock and it will greatly improve your experience because you can connect the Stiletto home dock to your Stereo while having a home antenna, that will ensure a good reception. Also the recording aspect of it will be much improved by having the docks. The Stiletto 2 also allows you to insert a microSD card to expand its storage.

My advice: if you are thinking about getting it and have the cash for it, get it. Try it out for a week or two and if it doesn't work out for you just return it. Most places have a 30 day return policy. And my suggestion is to get it from www.tss-radio.com I got my Stiletto 100 from them, and I just got my Stiletto 2 from them. Their costumer service is BAR NONE, their return policy is great and they give you free priority mail shipping.

Another view. That is the big battery on the SL100. The battery that comes with the Stiletto 2 gives you roughly the same amount of power as that big battery.

Does the 2 take a completely different dock than the 100 or can you use your existing 100 docks?

No, you cannot use the S100 docks. The reason is since the SL2 is smaller it won't fit into the bigger S100 docks. This is obviously a drawback. What I did to offset the cost of my Stiletto 2 and home kit was sell my 100 and all the accessories on eBay. :)

Not quite true. If you have a small dremel-like hand grinder, you can easily grind off the two little plastic protrusions in the S100 dock. Your SL2 will fit right in. I did this with my home dock, and it works perfectly.

I would NOT recommend this with the car dock for one simple reason: you want a nice snug fit between your SL2 and the car dock due to vibration. If you don't have a good fit, the connector will be on the business end of all the shocks, vibrations, etc., and can damage your radio.

Go to Best Buy and get the extended service plan.
Last year, I got an s50 on clearance for $89 plus $20 for the plan.
When that crapped out, they applied towards a Stiletto 100.
That died on me yesterday and I just got a 2 for no extra $.

And thanks for the tip Pete.
I'm all over it.
