I think the new asphalt will make this a fast single file race. Then about 1/2 way through all hell will break out when the grip starts to loosen up. Crashes will claim 10 -12 cars.

Does it matter? All the network coverage will talk about will be poor Dale Jr. being taken out by the evil Kyle Busch. :rolleyes:
But Im thinking with the new surface on that track Carl Edwards and the rest of his teamates are pretty safe bets. |

| first practice is over and taking the top spot was the 18 with a speed of 175.522 mph which stands to break the track record of 173.787 mph which was set by ward burton in march 96. the rest of the top 5 are, 11, 88, 28 and 20 with the slowest being the 99 and 45. |

His nickname might be Shrub...but I have always called him 'WEED'...the motherfucker can drive though, and he is destroying the rest of the field. The COT has got to be driven loose and WEED and Carl Edwards have proven to be the best at drving loose race cars. And, we all know Jeff Gordon can only drive tight cars, hence his dismal start to the year. Check out this story on loose cars and Yaw.

How pissed off does asswipe Waltrip sound over the fact that even after bouncing off the wall twice and losing a lugnut hes still pulling away from his boy "Junebug" :rolleyes:
I hope Smoke sends that talentless hack Sadler a nice gift for potentially costing him the race. He was running as fast or faster laptimes as the leaders in the last 50 laps. He was actually putting lead lap cars like Kahne down a lap. If they would have caught a caution after he passed Vickers he could have broke the top ten easily. |
