TICKETS GO ON SALE THIS FRIDAY, MAY 9 FOR
“BUBBAPALOOZA” IN ATLANTIC CITY ON JULY 12
National radio star Bubba the Love Sponge®’s live comedy show
is coming to Trump Taj Mahal for one show only
TAMPA, FLORIDA - May 8, 2008 - Tickets go on sale this Friday, May 9 for Bubbapalooza, the live comedy event presented by top-rated national satellite and terrestrial radio personality Bubba the Love Sponge®, taking place on Saturday, July 12 in the Mark G. Etess Arena at Trump Taj Mahal Casino Hotel in Atlantic City, New Jersey. Doors are at 8 pm and show time is 9 pm.
Bubbapalooza is a multi-media production hosted by Bubba the Love Sponge®, featuring his radio show’s most popular personalities and their hilarious routines, parodies and rants. The event stars the radio show’s co-hosts – Bubba, Ned, Brent Hatley, Manson and Spiceboy - along with show regulars such as 25 Cent, Hammil, Miller and others.
The four previous Bubbapaloozas, all presented in the last 5 months (in Ft. Myers, Phoenix, Las Vegas and Chicago), have all sold out. Bubba, who uses his federally trademarked nickname on and off-air, said, “We can’t wait to make our Atlantic City debut. Our fans told us they wanted to come see Bubbapalooza in Atlantic City, but we also wanted to visit the beautiful New Jersey shore during summertime!”
After almost 20 years of dominating terrestrial radio, Bubba the Love Sponge® was recruited by radio revolutionary Howard Stern to host a national, uncensored, afternoon talk show on Sirius Satellite Radio, which launched in January 2006 and has become one of satellite radio’s most popular programs. Since January, Bubba has also been hosting a live morning program broadcast on rock radio stations WHPT-FM/Tampa, FL and WFYV-FM/Jacksonville, FL - making him and his co-hosts the first in the industry to host two separate, full-length, live daily radio programs on both satellite and terrestrial radio. Both shows are broadcast live from Bubba’s custom studio in Tampa, Florida, which is regularly visited by stars from the worlds of sports, comedy, music, TV and adult film/video.
Ticket prices are $19.50, $29.50, $49.50 and $149.50 (the latter price is for a limited number of Bubbapalooza VIP tickets that include premium seating and a pre-show meet-and-greet). The Bubba the Love Sponge® Show’s core cast is composed of these brilliant misfits, who co-host the daily radio shows and are featured in its live comedy show, Bubbapalooza, and exclusive Bubba Raw® videos:
BRENT HATLEY – As the show’s Executive Producer, Brent handles the booking of guests and the show’s formatting, and participates as a co-host. He’s known for being well-read and continually educates himself about a wide array of topics. Brent is also proud to have served in the first Gulf War as a member of the United States Marines. A loyal University of Florida fan, Brent can talk sports with the best of them, both on the college and the professional level, and currently trains in Muy Thai and Jiu Jitsu (mixed martial arts). Brent is also a major history buff.
NED – Ned is the oldest of the show’s contributors, age-wise. He’s cranky, rude, abrasive, and perverted, and frankly, it’s astonishing that he’s still alive. He commands a very large and enthusiastic following of fans, mostly for his brilliant parody songs, but he really shines with his prank phone calls. Listeners never know quite what to expect on any given day from Ned, but they do know that he’ll end up making them laugh at some of his outlandish comments.
MANSON – Manson has an industry-wide reputation for masterminding the best bits and parodies in the business. He possesses an amazing blend of exceptional singer/songwriter skills, a quick wit, and a deep knowledge of pop culture and current events, all of which he combines into creating extraordinary and timely satire material. He can also do a tremendous array of spot-on voice impersonations, from President Bill Clinton to “Macho Man” Randy Savage. Because of Manson, the Bubba the Love Sponge® Show consistently contains parody and comedy elements that can’t be matched.
SPICEBOY – Spice has worked with Bubba for ten years, and enjoys his status as the show’s resident stud. He helps produce the show, lends character voices, and always provides another viewpoint to Bubba’s. He enjoys rock music, nightclubs, partying ’til the early hours, hanging with his famous ballplayer buddies and porn. Spice is also a complete workaholic who is dedicated to his job and making the show the best it can possibly be at all times. He can also be a pretty frugal dude.
25 CENT – 25 Cent is the show’s young urban bandit. Although he appears to be pretty calm and quiet, he can easily can get down and dirty with the sickest people out there. He may be far away from his home (Baltimore), but has truly earned his place in the Bubba regime by being ready to do anything. He’s also definitely a live wire when he gets heated up. |
