Whenever I go to AC I always stay at The Ascot. It's on the strip, 10 minute walk to the Taj, right across from the Tropicana.
Plus it's like 70$ (or less) for a room with two big beds on weeknights and around 140$ on weekends. Safe, clean, parking is super well lit (your car will be just as safe as if you stayed at a casino maybe safer). No bells or whistles, probably not great for kids though.

I would rather sleep outside than stay here.
If it was FREE I wouldn't even stay here. I paid for a night but it got to the point where my 3 year old son and I had to go sleep in the car because this place is a total health hazard!!!!!!!!!!! $60 night weedays.
1) Blood smeered on wall in shower
2) Mold/Mildew on wall,tub,shower curtin in bathroom.
3) Red paintchips? (hopefully) in the bed.
4) MOIST CARPET
5) Filthy couch in room, stains all over it.
6) Foul smell.
7) Broken lamps
8) Structural problems...looks like the place will colapse at any second.
9)Pool closed by the board of health.
10) Rude manager!
11)Extreme rust on stairs, painted over then rused again etc..
12)Broken ice machine
13) Ancient air condition system, rusted, maked loud noises.

This motel should be called Mascot Motel. The cover the truth about this dump of a place. They overcharged (249.00) for 1 night just because it was fight night. April 13, 08 This is what I got:
A 3rd floor walk-up, grungy place that I would not recommend to my cat. Bathroom had 2 small, rough, filty looking towels. As for the free parking, ha, ha, ha...I had to park in Tropicana parking. Don't expect any kind of service; none, none at all. Not very professional front desk staff either. For $249.00 a single night I would have be better off sleeping in my car and having fun with the money.

In all fairness, there was a couple of good ones. (I have walked by and wouldn't stay there though... )

Before I praise the Ascot Motel in Atlantic City I 'd like to emphasize
that I have no shares in it. I have been going there for years and
enjoy it very much.The rooms have all the comfort you can
expect and you get excellent value for money if that's what
matters to you, especially mid week , Sunday through Thursday>
A year ago or so the management changed and things improved
a lot, electronic doorlocks, fridges etc.
Again:Unbeatable value for money.

Good looking out Wiz :D
I hope the guys get to spend more time hanging out after the show in AC than at the Merrillville. Its a shame that the hotel in Jabroneville wasn't ready for the Bubba Army. |

if ur looking for mega cheap look at El Greco Motel. Its usually like 70-80 bux even for a weekend night. now dont get me wrong, you get what you pay for. but if your just looking for a place to crash, this might be up your alley.
its like a block off the boardwalk (right behind the Hilton and right near the Tropicana). |

| I was just in AC 2 weeks ago. We got a great deal on expedia at the empire in and suites. It was a super nice hotel. its under new managment and doesn't have the wireless internet they advertised, but otherwise it was good. It is about a 5-10 min drive downtown. |

What? I posted the good and bad reviews, and just said I wouldn't stay there. Everyone knows us chicks are picky about shit, like blood smears on the wall :) |
