Question about tailgating at Yankee stadium - Click HERE to go to the original thread with graphics
Pussah2
Last went to a game 8 years ago. I am going this saturday for the Mets vs yankees. Can you still tailgate in the parking lots?
KingOfAllWhites
I know if you drink, you have to put that shit in a cup. If you drink from the bottle/can , you will get a ticket. This is any venue like that in NYC
Pussah2
ok I'll bring cups. Just want to make sure its ok.

There aint much tailgating going on but you can do it.
woogayo
you can only drink out of blue solo cups. dont bring red. you will get busted, or killed by crips
A.Lang=Crazy
Do we need another Yankees thread?
Pussah2
so no one drinks outside before the game. I figured a big series like this people are drinking before the game

If you go early and drive to the top of one of the parking garages is your best bet.
woogayo
ive always gotten off the deegan, merge left, go past the two big lots on your left and right, get to the intersection right by the onramp where you exit, then across to the lot next to the tracks and the tunnel. never had a problem with cans and cooking there. everybody is tailgating, playing wiffle ball, etc
lisaslisas
The UTZ lots off exit 5 from 87S ALWAYS have tailgate parties. Bottles, cans, open BBQ's. No cops unless people are getting out of hand. They even put in some porto potties (I think it's for the staff, but WGAS, you're a dude, piss by your car) I was just there last Wed. we pulled in at about 4pm for the 7:05 game and it wasn't crowded lots of ppl cooking and throwing the ball around. Just don't be an asshole and you'll be fine. Parking for REG games is between 14-17 bucks. Mets/Sox/A's.. it goes up to 20 or so. Have fun. :hw:
lisaslisas
and NO SHIT.. if you see this black dude with a waterjug.. DON'T GIVE HIM MONEY. We watched him hop into a BMW and get on 87N before we walked into the game.

Good call. What time is the game pussah? Def get there early and you have, I Think, 2 hours after the game to get out of the lot. So chill drink some more let some of the assholes sit in traffic. Do you have a DD?

You should be good. Only bad thing about those lots is they pack them in there, so the earlier you get there, the better for a good spot. It's not far to walk from there across the lot and through the new "tunnel" and you're at the bat by gate 4.

Then you have to take her for the whole experience!!! Have a few at the lot.. mingle a bit, then take her to the bleacher entrance and take her to Stan's for a quick one or two before the game. It's an experience she won't forget. Is she a Yankees fan?

I'm actually really good friends with a cameraman (who does the replays and a Vietnam Vet-bonus) and another guy who can get pretty decent seats (unused player seats) for a good price. :) Had great seats for a Yanks/Sox game last year in August.

Certainly taking a chick to Yankee stadium is no way to impress her.

Dude, trust me... if you want to impress her, don't let her get too drunk. I don't know her tolerance, but I would say a few beers at the car before the game, then take her to the other side of the Stadium to Stan's and walk around a bit. Make sure she remembers her first game (and probably her last) at Yankee Stadium before the new one. :(

Sure, park in the lots by the Harlem River, everyone tailgates and drinks there, no one will bother you...
DestroVega
my girl is going to the game... we are going to the Kanye West concert in Hartford Friday night, then she is driving back in the morning for the game... fucking crazy. She is a Mets fan and her cousin gave her 3rd row seats... cause we will be at his best friends Stag at pourhouse. anyone in hartford come down, 6-10... if you are a red sox fan like kingofallmedia we will still welcome you, come on down.

Anyways, she is a trooper for doing all that... she's also pissed she isn't seeing Santana.

I just can't wait for the new Yankee Stadium... a Metro-North stop at the gate??? that's a tailgate train-ride... no need to buy 7.50 beers. yay.

Great, that means downtown Hartford will be more ghettolicious than usual Friday night. :mfight: :brotha:

I'm going to the Block Party, but now I may have to rethink those plans as I don't own a bullet-proof vest.
:getsome: :uzi: :gab: :ar: :2ar: :ba:

Edit: I'm probably going to end up at PourHouse Friday, two of my buddies are bouncers there. We're definitely going to the old Brickyard (now called the Palace or some shit) Saturday night for my girlfriends sisters birthday, we got a few rooms at the new Homewood Suites that's next door to Pigs Eye.

Eh, most hip-hop concerts I've gone to are mostly white people in CT.

They still have those block parties?... always thought they were overpriced and a pain in the ass, too crowded.

Didn't know they reopened that hotel.

That's sad. White people pretending that they're black. All of your collective fathers should give you a big smack in the chops.

Hip hop Music? Music?
DestroVega
Well, opinions aside, all I'm saying is, I don't go there and pretend to be black.

Just like when I go to the Stone Temple Pilots concert the week after, I won't pretend to be a drug addict or a rock star.

What other people act like is there business.

I don't care if people don't like forms of music, I hate when people are close-minded about it.

I am not close minded about good music. Don't know how anyone could stand to be around a bunch of wiggers. A more annoying night I could not imagine.

What I meant was, if you hear something, and don't like it, but gave it a chance, that's fine. Everyone has opinions.

Some people are close-minded and don't give something a chance.

As for being around a "bunch of wiggers" I have been to a bunch of concerts in general... it's much more annoying being around some jacked up asshole trying to mosh into everyone at a Queens of the Stone Age show, than be around a kid with his jeans a size too big.

Most of the hip-hop concerts are a large percentage of chicks anyway. Who are looking hot and not "wigger-ish."

I like my chicks to be into good music. I'm funny that way. Gov't. Mule, some good weed and a good looking girl that's into the blues. Heaven.
