i think i'm going to the whole series at shea. it'll be better then with posada (hopefully) and arod back.
Pettitte and Perez dueled last year. Santana would have faced Hughes had Hughes been good and not gotten hurt.
How is the Mets pitching this year anyways, aside from Santana? |

Shaky. Santana has been solid and Maine has been very good. Perez has been a nutcase as usual, completely up and down. You won't face Pelfrey, but he's been erratic as well. |

Sounds very similar to the Yankees pitching.
Should be a good series, provided the Yankees remember how to hit. |

Why do they play so early now?
I hate this pre-interleague interleague bullshit. Fucking play interleague in june and be done with it. Don't do one series in May...what is it..fucking "rivalry week"?
Fucking made up rivalries. |

I posted this in the Yankees thread, but in case some of ya'll don't go there.
Look at the era's for each pitcher in each game: (via LoHud)
Friday: LHP Johan Santana (4-2, 3.10) vs. RHP Darrell Rasner (2-0, 3.00), 7:05, Channel 9, SNY, WCBS 880, WFAN 660
Saturday: LHP Oliver Perez (3-3, 4.61) vs. LHP Andy Pettitte (3-4, 4.40), 1:05, YES, SNY, WCBS 880, WFAN 660
Sunday: RHP John Maine (5-2, 2.81) vs. RHP Chien-Ming Wang (6-1, 2.90), 8:05, ESPN, WCBS 880, WFAN 660
They are all so fucking similar. Weird, right? |
|
|
| Pussah2 |
| great chance of a lot of rain tomorrow night. i can only hope it gets rained out. Than I'd most likely see santana vs pettite sat afternoon and rasner and perez get moved to the night game sat night for the day night double header |

After last season I can't even care about the Mets in their current state...especially when they start the year like this. None of the "los mets" give a fuck, why should we as fans. I'm not paying to see these faggots |

Let me guess if the Yankees win the series they will brag how they did it without GAYROD.
If the Mets win the series Yankee fans will say that's because they didn't have GAYROD. |

Honestly, I don't think any 'sane' fan of either team has much to brag about regardles of how this meaningless series turns out. I, for one, won't say shit to anyone should we sweep the Yanks. While it may make the back page of the Daily News or Newsday it doesn't mean shit in the scheme of things. |

I'm sure Willie didn't say Boo to Reyes yesterday for single handidly losing the game for them.

I sure fucking hope so. I've been on his ass since June of last year. This guy has NO clue how to manage folding a paper bag let alone a baseball team of high priced underperforming stars.
You can see the wheels coming off this club already. Wagner is publically (right or wrong) ripping team mates, Reyes is making fundamental base running errors, Willie is trotting out proven losers in middle relief situations that they've blown umteen times and all the while he has this catatonic non-chalant attitude..."ya gotta tip your hat to the other team", "there were some bad bounces"..yadda yadda yadda.
No team that is on a way to a championship or a division title for that matter has this shit going on. |

lol, I was not even talking to you Pussy. I would say having 2/5 of your expecting starting rotation on the DL would count as an excuse. However, I would never use it because personally I never expected them to both be healthy. I am not retarded.
I might go down to the stadium tomorrow and buy tickets outside. If I am going to go to Yankee stadium, I will only go against the Mets so this weekend is my last chance. |

| I just heard Omar on the Pre-Game. He said they think they are going to be able to play the game at 9pm, so they are waiting it out. They claim it is a full house and they want to play the game. But obviously it is in the hand of the yankees! |

UPDATE, 6:11 p.m.: Willie Randolph held a lengthy closed-door meeting with his team this afternoon. The Yankees, it seems, are Club Paradise when compared to the Mets. Word is that Randolph could be fired at any time.

even though I'd take rasner over pettitte at this point in the season, that's what's going to happen. Probably for the best though. I was at the game last year where the mets killed rasners season by breaking his finger. |

Everytime you faced Johan, it has not been easy.

I like how the Yankees have absolutely no fucking bench whatsoever.
Duncan and Ensberg? C'mon.
Cashman better rebuild this shit much in the way he rebuilt last years bench. |
|
|
| Badhandhaney |
This is exactly why the Yankees should have gotten Santana!
Cashman is a dumb fuck.
I can't wait until this asshole gets fired.
Gene Michael may be too old to become GM again, but for the record Stick was aligned with Hank about signing Santana, but Cashman got his way, and look what happened!!!
Cashman has his 2 pitchers Kennedy and Hughes both with 9.0 ERA's and ZERO wins between them!
And Hughes is injured again!
Santana got the Mets the win.
End of story. |

This kind of BULLSHIT is EXACTLY why I have been speaking out against Giambi from the beginning of the season.
P.S. You Red Sox fans arent happy taking over the Yankees thread?
Now you need to post in here too?
But you weak ass motherfuckers ban guys like NUGE from New England threads because he owns your asses?
Fucking joke!
You may root for a team that won two world series in the past 4 years.
But there are Mets fans in here, and the last time the Sox faced THEIR team in the World Series was 1986!!!
Bill Buckner ring a bell?
Dave may kiss your asses along with Lisa.
But As a TRUE Yankees fan, I sure wont.
And these Mets fans wont either! |

Wang has strung together a few great outings in a row, maybe he's due for a stinker. Plus, the Mets have hit him in the past I believe. |

We'll see which Ollie shows up. And for God's sake can someone put Delgado in that same cab that Duaner took? By the way, where the hell is Sanchez?
I'll give Delgado small props for knocking in the 7th run but he came up horribly in the two previous RBI situations. |

I would have enjoyed seeing what might have happened had Farnsworth decided not to suck cock this afternoon. |

I take it back. Apparently Wang faced the Mets only once and beat them. However, Ollie is 3-1 lifetime against the Yanks with a 3.04 ERA, and the Yanks are really vulnerable to lefties right, so who knows. |
