We got some good fight cards coming up...

May 31 - Kimbo Slice VS James "the Colossus" Thompson
These two like to box it out. This appears to be Kimbo's toughest opponent yet. At the very least this one will be very entertaining because Thompson likes to stare down his opponent and Kimbo is not one to put up with any shit. Glad it's on CBS. I won't have to wait until 3 AM to watch a leak on YouTube. Kimbo is the latest beneficiary of YouTube, now making some decent money I'm sure - all the result of those underground videos.

July 19 - Fedor Emelianenko VS Tim Silvia
Fedor has been fighting "push over" opponents his last few fights. But I don't think Silvia can grapple with Fedor though. Fedor will charge in, clamp on, look for the sweep, then ground and pound.

What's happened to Brock Lesnar? Retired after 1 loss?

Lesner is fighting Mark Coleman @ UFC 87 on August 9th in Minneapolis, Minn.

Or just fight Hulk Hogan or Chuck Norris. : ) How old is Coleman?

Mark Coleman---Birth Date:12/20/1964 should be a great fight there...(sarcasm in case you missed it)

Silvia has shown he can be taken down by someone who cares to try a frontal approach (The Natural did it at will). Fedor can and will do it and he will abuse the hell out of Silvia on the ground. More than likely an armbar victory.

As for Kimbo... I imagine he will win this fight as well, since mr colossus doesn't seem to do much in the way of ground-n-pound and doesn't have wins against anyone that I know (minus severn/frye who were way past their primes).

Course, in a recent article on yahoo, it was mentioned that eliteXC lost 37mil last year and might not have the finances to even finish this year.... Sucks, I am a big believer in competition forcing the best so I hope some company steps up to oppose UFC for all of our benefits.

Coleman is 44, might want to retire there bub. If a stud like Lesnar gets beat by an old man he should hang it up.

dont forget about gina carano on may 31st

cdburgh
yeah Gina is pretty good and not too hard on the eyes. Was the best fight of the night when I watched her win a decision over that blond chick a while back on XC I think. I am looking forward to seeing which Tito shows up... it hurts my fragile sense of mma to have a Karate master undefeated :/

Kimbo doesn't have as much MMA experience as Thompson, and he gased out against that Police officer guy. But Kimbo has been training with Bas Rutten and I'm sure his wind is better now.

I used to be a bouncer and let me tell you I've been around. All right? Oh and look what we have here. Dang-ity Dang-ity Dang!

Bas actually was doing commentary at ringside when Aleksander Emelianenko clocked out Thompson. Classic PRIDE fight.
